Dream scenario - Eriksen plus cash for Coutinho - two birds with one stone. Can't see it though.

I'm just glad Ali Z is much more positive than yesterday!

Ali Z COYS

Update Sess will be done, club frantically pushing hard to get 2 more in ...joke sometimes how they do things, don't be surprise if we sell CE or swap.
Swap is interesting. Suggests Juve/Dybala maybe?

United have nothing we want, Barca don't need him (in relation to swap with Coutinho).

Real/Bale? :sneaky:

The ITK yesterday was not nearly as negative as the reactions it caused, people just can't read the ITK tea leaves and decide to take it however their personality wants to but if you took it word for word it wasn't negative.

Eriksen swap would surely only be with Juve.... Cant see anyone else we have been linked with who plays for a club he would go to

Barca maybe

Neymar deal isnt happenning for Barca, with Griezzman in, Coutinho will be even more sidelined. Barca have a hefty loan fee on him. I really doubt this will happen from financials point of view.

Ali Z saying he could only see Sessegnon coming in less than 3 days before the window closes was a neutral comment?

Considering I'm often debating on both sides of the same debate I'm not sure that works (for me at least).

Oh my god the scousers would be foaming out the mouth. Petty petitions galore and a whole host of anger. Please let Coutinho happen for that reason alone:playful:

We've wanted Martial for a long time.

Is it possible that the Lo Celso situation has been in a position to be resolved with the addition of a few million Euros precisely because he's never been first choice?

He didn't see that, he said the only one he was confident on was Sessegnon and by that he later added because its 95% done. You kinda proved my point haha. The rest are still 50/50 but people took it as "only" Sessegnon.

Fair point! Although with such little time left it's certainly easier to take the negative viewpoint!

Can only see Barca allowing Coutinho, if we do a loan with option.

If my memory serves on a few deals for other clubs previously loans are a good way to speed up the process of a signing against the deadline time I think.

I'm 99% sure I read just last week that Coutinhos agents said they would not allow him to go out on loan anywhere.

Edit:

Coutinho's agent: "Every time we talked about that we have come to the same: it would be very extremely hard, almost impossible, for him to play in another Premier League club." (mundodeportivo.com)

Philippe Coutinho has no plans to leave Barcelona and join Arsenal on loan (metro.co.uk)

Coutinho does not plan to leave on loan. Both the player's environment and Arsenal sources denied that a loan can be negotiated (mundodeportivo.com)

This is over the past 3 to 4 days.. Not saying the ITK is incorrect, but having read this over the past week it feels like getting a loan through with 48 hours left compared to the months of negotiations for GLC is quite far away. Who knows though.

Luckily we would also do a loan with option. The only loan we would do. Oh my god i want to drink scouser tears. I want to bathe in them. Please, Levy. Please. I am on my hands and knees. Bring. Me. Coutinho. Make the financials work.
