If this was the opening bid, then there is no reason why Levy should refrain from trying to squeeze a little bit more out of them.

Whose to say we would need one.

I think if anything, Harry rotated Crouch, Pav and Defoe too much last year. Had he given any one of them more games in a row (each played a lot but not week in week out, although my memory may be deceiving me) they may get into that "rhythm" that strikers always talk about.

If VDV ends up being out then Defoe or Pav have the chance to get a partnership going with Ade.

We must not pass up this opportunity to sell Crouch. Every time he starts we go into automatic mode and hit a long ball thus squandering possession. We should be playing balls to feet in and around the box and using movement to create openings,
Crouch has no movement.
The only problem is that Crouch will not want to go.

just 'cos we are selling beanpole doesn't mean we're getting a replacement. indeed, my guess is that we're more likely to bring in an AM then another forward. Get the sense that Harry wants to go: 4-2-3-1. With Ade, Defoe and Pav, we have three number 9s -- albeit only one who is truly good enough to handle that formation.

Now, if we were also letting PAV go, then yeah, I'd assume another striker is imminent.

no it didn't

GFTS was and still is Goals from the side.
It was confirmed that it was Mata we were looking at, and when he went to Chelsea has not stopped up from looking for a similar player.

Its nothing like B&Y as it was identifying the type of player we were looking at
