From what I've read, there is no court case pending. Supposedly the incident is still under investigation which was an extremely long time ago.

Have we actually had any ITK on Bissouma or are we just taking the Times at face value?

Paul Joyce is a very well connected journalist, he's like Ornstein. Villa are definitely in for him. Maybe our interest is agent talk but we have tracked Bissouma for years and he has a year left. Seems an obvious target for us.

I don't see how you've made that connection. We have a history of sending 2-3 of our youth players on loan to the same club and it has yielded some success for us, be it the player made it to the 1st team or the player was sold on for a profit (even a nominal one).

Tom Carroll & Harry Kane - Leyton Orient (2010/2011)
Jake Livermore & Ben Alnwick - Leeds ( 2010/2011)
Harry Kane & Ryan Mason - Millwall ( 2011/2012)
Ryan Mason, Grant Hall, Alex Pritchard - Swindon (2013/2014)

The number of players we send out on loan to one club is significantly less important than where we send them. That's what the club has struggled with recently, outside of Skipp's loan, we've had a long series of loans that didn't work out for our players.
Huh. Well I was not aware of that, I guess I was just theorizing. I stand corrected - thank you good sir, for the information!

Arrested in October and still under investigation. If there was no case to answer, it would be dismissed quickly. Not sure what the delay is here, as they would reach a conclusion quite quickly whether to proceed or not. It is a bit odd given the alleged offence happened in a club where you would have plenty of witnesses and CCTV. I guess the police are trying to be 100% given recent history. I personally don't see it as worth the risk, unless the buying clubs know something we don't.

Like someone mentioned, you'd think Brighton and Potter would have an idea of whats going on. If it was serious/bad surely he doesnt play.

I mean he hasn't even been charged by the looks of it, but he is under investigation. Bissouma was even allowed to travel internationally for AFCON, if he was guility, why would they allow that to happen? The other person was arrested and released on bail though, so educated guess would be someone in his entourage commited the offence.

There was something I read recently from one of the usual spurs journos, and they casually threw in a bit about Paratici and said that we've evolved a lot now, and (possibly paraphrasing) recently rejected the chance to sign a PL player over concerns he'd be a disruptive influence or something. I don't know who it was speculating about, but I found it more interesting that we're now doing that (having signed Aurier when he was essentially in trouble with the fuzz, and Ndombele being a self-fulfilling propecy); as a result, I'd be surprised if we went for anyone with even the slightest whiff of trouble.

Sure thing. However it plays out, I just hope they both end up clubs that will actually take a vested interest in their development rather than filling out the roster ( see Nile John to Charlton most recently).

Definitely, real shame that one. I suppose that might fall under the new assistant director/head of recruitment that we have coming in.

That is great news! I trust Paratici implicitly, so I look forward to seeing who he brings in for that role and the possible improvements to our loan system.

It was Pogba supposedly.

Feels like the Fulham dembele deal in Incarnate. A cheaper price (think there was a clause) from a lower placed team for a barnstormer of a CM. For me he gives options and doesn’t diminish the quality of what we have.

Glad there seems to be some solid media interest. There could be more exotic signings but feel it’s a a smart one on Patricis list.

Got to get Bissouma as long as the thing swirling around him can be cleared up. We could easily spend 60-70m to end up with a similar talented/suited CM. Being able to complete a CM quartet for 30m would just leave so much more money to go into some of the other positions we need. Could be the difference in managing to get a Bastoni or a Nkunku or any other similar level of player that will cost a lot, who may be agreeable to joining ( please note, I’m not even really suggesting that Nkunku is a major possibility )
