Things do seem to have centred somewhat on the Romero talks but I'm certain other irons that are in the fire will be progressing nicely and news should start to filter out soon. Thoroughly enjoying all the positivity in here regarding developments. The clouds (and spirits) seem to be definitely lifting. Let's hope it continues.

I said this last week too, but when you think about it - Winks and Sissoko are likely off (and even if not, they’re not very good), sure Skipp can take one of those two places, but an injury or suspension to any of our CMs would leave us very thin in that area.

I think cover for PEH, as alluded to by JJ, would be a sensible addition at this point.

Think this was referenced by Herc or Trix last week, should Winks leave, potentially no replacement incoming, Skipp’s return fills that gap with John impressing in pre-season as a depth option also. If/when Sissoko leaves also, then yes a new CM could/should/would likely come in.

Nice. Very nice. Thanks for the update. Hoping it’s Sissoko, Dav, Serge, CCV and Winks. After replacements are brought in, we can work with that. I’m fine keeping Dier around as a backup, his value has to be so low at this point.

Wouldn't mind having Lucas/Bergwijn stay as squad/impact players, though if their sales raise funds to improve the key positions it makes sense

At a minimum we need to get rid of Winks, Sisso, Dav, Serge, and replace with better quality

He sort of did but the person he was replying to was the one who mentioned Hojberg so I took it as a general response on the positions.
Either way it's clear we are addressing all our requirements one way or another.

If we can flog Sissoko and Winks then I don't mind if we hold onto Dier.

I said last week that Qatar/UAE/Saudi Arabia would be our hope regarding Sissoko as he may be considered a really big signing there and they'd pay his salary, something he wouldn't get in France or Italy.

Assuming that's the stop of course.

Glad we are able to shift a lot of these out.

I’d imagine clubs in Qatar would be trying to get a few international players in to try and give some credibility to their league before the World Cup.
