yeah Chris, I'm aware it was you who posted this info. I've been on this site for a long time and really enjoy the content. I understand the mods have a long and mostly thankless job on their hands but was wondering the difference between this ( which was deemed not worthy of the itk thread):

and this (that was not)

anyway, I'm not having a go, just would like to see new info posted in the ITK thread unless said poster has been proven to be a WUM.

If this is a threat, it is neither needed not appreciated. and if this is spamming, what exactly do you call the other 300 odd posts in this thread about dreams, Sol Campbell and other assorted shite that has nothing whatsoever to do with ITK. carry on.

And this is helping how?

Take it to the PMs!

I have counted 71 (this being 72) posts today that are only concerned with the rules of this thread. I just did the count (and I have an extensive list of ignores so there's a good chance there is many more).

So almost 70 posts today concerning content, implantation, rules and shit like that. And not all of them bad. Chris and A&C had multiple posts. Those aren't spam, but if people weren't forcing them to, they wouldn't have had to post those extra ones.

So if you really don't like the way that this place is working, realize that the biggest contributor (way more than scores of today's games or the fight between posters) is comments that have nothing to do with ITK but have everything to do with this thread's rules.

And I didn't count posts like "not ITK...sigh" but there were few of them. More "no ITK...STFU" And there has been a lot of ITK or news associated with past ITK today. Way more than the multiple "only X ITK today....this thread is ruined"

So be a problem or be a solution but complaining about the way this is run is way more problem than solution.

Thank for taking the time to read this.

I love that when Eddiev14 replied it was 68 posts and now its up to 71 Posts!

I love it in here, if I'm in a hurry I check the RO/Ticker if I want to spend longer I read the whole thread. Whilst it may not be perfect its fun and long may it continue.

Now someone on Twatter get Gards to cough up more details!!

Hopefully a bit of regular first team football could do him the world of good. Look at Lakaku, he went to Chelsea with loads of potential didn't really do much at Chelsea went on loan to WBA and has gone form strength to strength now he is getting regular first team football. So you never know a loan could be the best for all parties.

BTW how perfect would Lukaku be?

Apparently hates AVB from his start at chavski but he looks an absolute beast atm.

so a wide player and a striker out, sort of gives us an indication of what maybe on the way in as we seem to be making way in the squad

We are 100% signing a striker. Asking questions all across Europe but expect nothing but Holtby this week or early next. Levy is trying to low ball but he knows that we can push on for 4th. Don't rule out Damiao as the 1 or someone from Holland as a potential 2. But Levy is stirring, the giant will wake soon and some hard bargaining will begin on his primary targets or plan b or unfortunately plan c may come into play. Absolute worst case is Holtby plus a body of a striker. AVB doesn't believe in False 9.

What do you mean by a 'body of a striker'? Do you mean a physical target man, or is Levy finally going to lose it with the whole Leandro deal and just shoot him instead?

I think it all boils down to Levy being Levy. Wanting to get CL footie without spending the same as Chelsea, Arse, Man Utd, City.

And trying to get as good a deal from sponsors for the new stadium as he can.

Jasper saying that this is unrealistic is his opinion, obviously not shared by Levy or the board. As they managed to pull off some real coups with sponsors (Autonomy/Investec) when everyone had given up and thought they were mad, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Simple look at the turnover figures and we shouldn't be anywhere near arse or man united , Chelsea and man city are bankrolled, the fact that we are competing at the level we are is testament to a well run club. The stadium will put us up with these and personally I would like to do it that way than the sugar daddy route.

Only person I can think of from Eredivisie that has been brought up previously is Altidore. The biggest name striker I can think of from there is who, Bony? If it's Dutch born, i would hope it's Huntelaar, but I just don't see that happening o_O

Bony and Holtby would be ideal considering our financial limitations. I have a lot of faith in Bony's ability to match up well against the CBs in the Premier League. He's incredibly strong, and he's adept at making space for himself.

Holtby and Bony would be a big boost to the attack, the only thing I would worry about is how long it might be before they realistically get settled in.

When I say "Body of a striker" - I mean someone to make up the numbers i.e. Rasiak and Saha. Daniel will answer a question with a riddle.

Harry: Who is replacing Pav as the 4th striker
Daniel: Saha
Harry: You're shitting me!!!???

BMJ: We need someone to come on and offer something different
Daniel: Rasiak
BMJ: Who???

I don't know how much he'd cost, but I agree, the guy is really strong and has proven himself in the league this year (top scorer I think?).

Yeah, he's got 2 goals on the next guy (16 to 14).

At 24 and really showing improvement over the past 2 years, I don't see why we wouldn't look hard at him.

Spurs are all about the Dutch League. Didn't someone say Levy is still pissed he missed out on Suarez. That is where we should all be looking as it is known he wants to move for Erikson and Alderweireld. Players from here and Belgium adopt quickly and are much cheaper than English players with good English.

Bony is an option (IMO not ITK)

Right who are we gonna sign?

Since the Bentley years we've signed these players in these contexts:

2013:
Holtby: Free out of contract in summer, bargain
Fryers: Out of contract, holiday in Holland for a few months, bargain
2012:
Dempsey: Known to want to leave club, bargain
Dembele: Release clause, haha!, bargain
Sigurdsson: Seemingly uinwanted by parent club, bargain
Adebayor: Definitely unwanted by parent club, bargain
Lloris: Possibly touted out by parent club (ITK suggested this), bargain
Vertonghen: Last year of contract, club cashed in, bargain
Nelson: Free, bargain
Saha: Free, bargain
2011:
Parker: Club relegated, player wanted out, bargain
Adebayor: Loan, club wanted out, bargain
Friedel: free, bargain
2010:
Van der Vaart: Unwanted by parent club, bargain
Sandro: just a bargain (OK this one doesn't fit the bill)
Pienaar: Contract running down, bargain
(Khumalo and Plietkosa ?)
2009:
Crouch: Portsmouth probably owed us something, bargain
Bassong: OK philosophy wasn't cast in stone yet.
Walker/Naughton: Buy one get one free? BARGAIN

Year before that we laid out a fortune.

So. Any bargains out there this week?
