If Poch/the club was not so arrogant and weak regarding transfers, we could've really challenged for the league this season. It's a sickening feeling. Alderweireld and Eriksen very likely to leave in the summer, and given our current ideology on transfers, I'd say we've blown our chance of potentially winning the league for a while.
But maybe they didn't expect to be challenging for the league yet, and are thus happy with where we are atm.
They keep saying that they've got a long term plan, and they appear to be content to stick to it. It's worked well so far.
We don't want to be Leicester, to win the league an then disappear back into obscurity, we want to win on strong foundations. We want to stay on the top of the pile.
If that means we have to pump the brakes a little now, I guess I'm cool with that.
