Spurs came out here a few years back and set up a partnership with South China- a team not far from me here. There were reports of one or two players having trials but I don't know what happened- the news just stopped? Spurs are out here in July (Hong Kong) and the club really should look into a few players out here. When Baldini (I hope he starts in July anyway) arrives I hope he has some connections over here as the market is huge and could help take us to the next level.

Don't suppose it would help if we signed Keisuke Honda? Before people go nuts at me, I'm fully aware he's Japanese, I just think he's a really good player & we were linked with him as recently as March this year. Out of contract in December & earns a pittance (less than £2mil per year)..

I am living in South China and two years ago you couldn't find anything Tottenham in the city I live in. Now there are many kids playing football in the local parks with BALE 11 on their shirts. It's amazing the turn around here and many of my students know I support Spurs and are asking questions about the club. I know this is not ITK but if Mr Levy wants to break the Chinese market- and EPL is really taking off here then do everyone a favour and keep Bale and AVB. CL is a massive draw here so keep these 2, get top four and support here will go through the roof!

HELLO from Shanghai.

Bale and AVB are the only names who can be on the front page of any sports website in China. The football fans can argue for whether Bale is better than Reus for more than one year. Keep Bale and Tottenham will get more and more eyes from China market.

Turned 27 a few days ago mate.

27? Really? That surprises me. I would have guessed 22.

Still.....he hits all of the requirements for Levy. He's free and also free. Plus he won't cost much.

edit: is he free. I know Wikipedia isn't the best source, but he signed a 4 year deal with CSKA and in on year 3 now.

Could this mean we are trying to sign Fredy Guarin?
"The news was publicised by Gazzetta after being revealed by Shakhtar Donetsk CEO Sergei Palkin.
Palkin told reporters: It’s true that we wanted to sign Paulinho, but he has already signed a pre-deal with Inter Milan."

I think the quote from the Inter Milan president that we are trying to sign Guarin is a bigger indication tbh ;)

Also I'm not sure if the Shakhtar Dhonesk CEO would bea credible source as to where Paulinho will end up.

Would far rather Paulinho than Guarin. Think he'll go onto prove himself a level above the latter over the coming seasons. Got a strong hunch that Guarin is who we'll end up with though.
