If it helps stop us getting CL next season then you could argue it would be a very good move for them.

i would ignore the lamela rumours, only way i could see us ever getting him or attempting to is if bale was sold.

I am living in South China and two years ago you couldn't find anything Tottenham in the city I live in. Now there are many kids playing football in the local parks with BALE 11 on their shirts. It's amazing the turn around here and many of my students know I support Spurs and are asking questions about the club. I know this is not ITK but if Mr Levy wants to break the Chinese market- and EPL is really taking off here then do everyone a favour and keep Bale and AVB. CL is a massive draw here so keep these 2, get top four and support here will go through the roof!

Au contraire. Just the other week Florentino sent Levy a Real Madrid goody bag consisting of of three player postcards (one was Albiol, alas), some official Real Madrid confectionery, and a mock gold braided Real Madrid pendant. By all accounts Danny was quite taken with the pendant.

The ONLY surprising thing about ITK update 71 is that we haven't already reported Madrid. This is not like the usual tapping up you see from Real Madrid or any other club, this is not the drop of his name by the manager at a press conference, or an admission of thinking the player is good enough to play for Real. This is a persistent effort to turn Bale's head and to try to get his agent to talk him into handing in a transfer request. We have actually had Zidane tell him to hand in a transfer request ffs. The only player I have ever seen tapped up as badly as this was Fabregas, and that was a f**king pisstake.

Exactly this. As much as I enjoyed winding up gooners with the Fabregas saga, I thought at the time the way Barcelona were behaving was a disgrace.

To me it doesn't matter that Fifa or Uefa will do sod all, we should still make an issue of it. Its like if your house is broken into, you know that the police will probably do f*** all and if they are caught will probably still only get a suspended sentence, but you still report the *****.

Well you can never call our off-season boring, that's for sure. Linked with every Brazilian footballer; a supposed incoming DoF who loves two things....vacation and football (in that order); our coach being stolen by a club that didn't even exist when we won our first European Cup......a club that is only 7 years older than AVB. Our best player being openly courted by a club with absolutely no scruples (at this point I would rather sell Bale to Arsenal, that's how much I hate Madrid....and I would rather cut my cock off than sell him to Arsenal).

Spurs came out here a few years back and set up a partnership with South China- a team not far from me here. There were reports of one or two players having trials but I don't know what happened- the news just stopped? Spurs are out here in July (Hong Kong) and the club really should look into a few players out here. When Baldini (I hope he starts in July anyway) arrives I hope he has some connections over here as the market is huge and could help take us to the next level.
