On COYS they think it is:

1. Doku
2. Williams
3. Johnson

Also going for David looking at the first part of the info.
Isn’t Doku done to City tho? I guess the ITK could be behind. Re Williams it would make sense as we would need pay the fee in a lump sum so even if Johnson is more expensive we would be able to stretch it out over a longer period. Shame tho considering we managed to get a large amount of the Kane fee upfront.

Seems strange though because Williams release clause is supposedly lower than what both Doku and Johnson are purported to cost.
We were never beating City to Doku. Once they flashed their ankles we didn’t stand a chance. So that chimes with the ITK. We aren’t able to get the number 1 target.

Add David to the list of players I’ve never heard of. I might get the hang of this football malarkey by the time they all move to the Saudi league.

Splash big money on David would be crazy if Richy is still here. Rather see us going big for Douglas Luiz and a proper 3rd CB.

''ALL ANGE APPROVED'' that's all i need to hear. My pathetically inadequate football knowledge didn't like what it saw of Jonathan David at the WC but if Ange likes him, i'm on board.

Great to hear ITK on Jonathan David. Do we have a player thread for him, as I can't see one? I've noticed we've been linked with him in the press since July.

Clubs dont sell their best players in the last week of the window either. We've been here before too many times. I'd be amazed if we bring another striker in for Kane of the required quality now. It is just too late.

If we manage to move 6 out as per the ITK and they are on permanent deals then wonderful. Lloris, Dier, Sanchez all have a year left. Get what we can for them and move on. Regi, Sess, Ndombele, Hojbjerg, GLC, Tanganga, Davies all expire in 2025. We are a rich club and shouldnt be haggling over all of the prices within reason and it should mean we can move these groups of players on one way or another. They arent terrible, we just need to be creative.
As from Ange’s own mouth, he’s known about the impending departure of Kane from pretty much the day he walked in to N17.
He also has straight out said, the club has been planning accordingly for life after Harry - hence the apparent leaning toward sharing out the goal scoring responsibility.
Solomon and Maddison will contribute appropriately in good numbers of goals and assists, and with this long overdue return to front foot attacking with and without the ball, we will see Sonny, Richy, Kulu and others getting a decent return in this area.
The imperative is not to replace Kane but to embellish the services we have, plus strengthening areas that will take a hit when players not required get eased out the door.
Have patience lads n lasses .

Agreed. I love that he has been so clear in press conferences and interviews that he knows the exact player profile he wants both for talent and system need and for character. It does feel our recruitment is finally looking like taking positive steps forward with unity

I swear. whilst half paying attention making lunch, I heard Paul Hawksbee on TalkSport say Jota is suddenly leaving his Saudi club and coming to Spurs. Which I suppose with Ange might make sense.

I can't see anything about it anywhere though. Maybe I dreamt it lol

How is spending on a striker alternative crazy and spending on a midfielder, where we seem to have no quality issues, not?

Personally not too convinced by David, but thats more a feeling fromwhat I have read, as I, like most of us, have never really seen him play. (bar the world cup, where he did nothing)

I don't think Johnson is 3 on the winger list anyway.

Doku and Williams being 1 and 2 proves we are using data profiling which will rule out Johnson as number 3. It will be someone who profiles similarly to Doku and Williams.
