Interesting info from JJ and Akgayid - will certainly generate a lot of responses but like A&C said, pointless in debating this 'volley' fellow as it's too vague at this stage.

Intentional or not, but the remark about AVB 'not cut and dried ' at the stage either implies that he is the man we are after and not finalised or that it was wrong of Akgyid to dismiss the Blanc situation out of hand. Either way, JJ certainly didn't discount a huge investment from the board for the new prospective manager but I will reserve judgement on that.

Maybe everything will fall into place once there is perhaps definitive news on a possible takeover.

I woke up, read the latest couple of ITK, and promptly shat myself with excitement.

The investment stuff sounds good. Also, if Ade is 'likely' then that is great news.

I would have thought his wages would be more of a stumbling block and not hs ability as a player.

Even so, I agree that I can't see anything happening anytime soon on that front without a manager.

That was the one that came to my mind - but yes, he has already signed for Dortmund. But only from 1 July which would make him BM now and BD in a week or so...

Happy days indeed on the ITK side - SC also seems to be the place to be for ITK these days!

My only concern would be the lack of completed deals so far, but I guess the Euros slow things down; still can't believe we're still waiting for Vertonghen, though..

For the volley players mentioned I'd be surprised if Robben signed, it's impossible that it's Reus (even though that kid is the next big thing) and it's highly unlikely that it's Khedira.

On the Goalie side of things Lloris always seemed a bit unlikely to met, so with the link to the new guy in the papers as well I'm inclined to believe it'll rather be him.

If we sell Modric for £30-35m and we have £10m from Niko and Corluka's sales, add to that the profit from sales last season (£20m-£25m) then that is already £60-70m of the £80m to be invested. I guess we will sell a few more players, it just seems like reinvestment rather than a money injection. Still if the £80m is true we can definitely add some quality, although how many times have we heard from ITK in the past we are going to splash out big?

It also may not necessarily equate to transfer fees paid either and could just as well be allocated to wages - especially if we secure Adebayor.

JJ has said Akqayid has the wrong initials for the volley player. The initials Akqayid gave were BM. So that rules Bayern Munich out. So now we're looking for a player that scored a volley in the Euros that plays for a German team (I'm assuming that although the initials might be incorrect he at least got the country he plays in right). And given that the volleys scored by the German team have been covered, presumably the suspect isn't German but plays there.

And I also think that the volley would have been scored at the Euros and not in some game 10 years ago or something, so we don't really need to go back very far.

It should be BD I reckon for Borussia Dortmund and I reckon it's Marco Reus.
