What the heck, half an hour ago they were talking about how conditions were good, pitch was solid and they have the chance to build. Hopefully a reprieve for Denly. Need to buck ideas up

Hazelwood is an excellent bowler, but I really can't stand him. That's not based on anything rational as I know nothing about him. He just has the look of a right smug ****.

Root averages 53 before becoming captain, but 41 after it, and it is falling all the time.
We simply can't afford to burden our best batsman, and its not as if he is a good captain who needs to stay there because of the good of the team.

More likely that Roy moves down to the middle order at 5 or 6. That's where they see his longer term position apparently. But with Pope in form it's not a bad shout.

yeah probably, but our problem is we have an entire squad of middle order batsmen.
