I know we needed the wins to qualify for the ICC CT, but it makes it even more aggravating when they finally turn up in the final 2 games. Overall been a horrendous defence.

Such a frustrating tournament, players capable of so so much more, we seemed to get the balance right once we brought Willey in and once Stokes was fit enough to play again but a lot of players had a very poor tournament by their usually high standards:
Bairstow
Root
Livingstone
Buttler
Ali
Wood

I think the following can hold their heads up high:
Malan
Brook (at times)
Stokes
Rashid
Willey
Woakes
Topley (at times and before he got injured)

Player or the tournament for England Rashid or Woakes for me.

Need to blood a new generation of youngsters moving forwards now.
