Really? They are a poor man’s West Ham who shouldn’t be in the championship let alone the premier league.
Despicable two bit club with a fan base to suit.
Shafted by the league with a double points penalty they dropped out of the league and Gary Sweet has guided them back to where they are on a shoestring.

West London Derby in the play off final please. Sod the Welsh, not sure why they're even in our leagues tbh.

Yes really. That stadium is a fucking novelty. It’s like a 3 side seater. It’s brilliant. I’d love to see someone like Pogba’s face when he walks into that stadium.
So you’d love to see Luton in the PL just because they’ve got a stadium fit for a league two club?
The Luton supporters who I talk to just want to be in the same league as Watford so they can have two decent tear up’s a season.
A house round the corner from me didn’t finish their celebrations until 4am this morning and all they were singing about was going to Watford next season, smashing the town up and “fucking up” Watford supporters.
Their fan base is unhinged, they are a poor man’s West Ham and don’t deserve to even be in the championship.

I have no idea about their fans, but all I know about Luton is that Pleaty was their manager for a while and I've got lots of time for him.

I'm pretty open to having new teams in the top tier, having an actual underdog with not much to lose is always good for entertainment, it's a hazard that can really bite the top teams on the arse if they don't bring their best game, a relatively unknown quantity.

The only team I don't want to ever make it back up there is Ipswich. Mainly because I hate the word Ipswich.

It's such a nasty word to say, see, type or think about - all sharp edges and points, it's as ugly to say as Pillow and Cellar-Door are beautiful. Say them out loud, start with the nice ones then say Ipswich, go on, everyone will think you're mental but try it.

Anyone need a band aid? Yeah, grim, isn't it?

Now imagine Jim White saying it. :(

Ipswich was location of the first Spurs away game I attended outside London back in April 1972. Lost 2-1 with a Tony Want own goal as one of those scored against us. Looping header over PJ.

I was just coming here to post that, i get the fee might have saved the club but retiring the shirt of a 17 year old whos had less than 50 appearances is a bit strong, they will get the piss ripped out of them.

Edit: its like getting someones named tattoo’d on you after the 3rd date

Why are they retiring it?
Because he's basically saved the club from financial ruin because Dortmund are paying a lot of money for him.

I'm not a fan of shirt retirements at the best of times but this takes the proverbial biscuit.

Looking past the absurdity of the shirt retirement, it says a lot about the financial state of football that the team that represents the UK's "second city" are one mid-table premier league transfer fee away from going out of business.

What the fuck is that ref doing? Are you kidding? Horrendous decision. Great tackle to win the ball and gets sent off for his troubles. Horrible refereeing. And the 4th official has no say there? Swans just got a Brentford player sent off. Great gamesmanship by them but this ref failed miserably buying it.

Ref is having a poor game. I don’t think either of these teams will come up though.
