Yes I know it's a little early but I absolutely hate the international weekend, especially on Sunday's as there is no meaningful football on. I've felt as if something was missing this weekend so I'm already looking forward to us putting 5 past the mancs on Saturday. :hump:

Presuming Ledley & Bassong recover in time, I'd go for:

Now I was thinking that because of his performance against Brum that Crouch should start but I think atm he would be a much better impact sub and really fuck up the united defence, especially if they're missing vidic/ferdinand.

depends on the croatia game really. if kranjcar is not injured and impresses, I expect him to start. Only thing that will worry me for the united game is his tracking back. Keane isn't great at it either but he is more willing and has more stamina.

I would start Crouch/Defoe but I can't see Harry dropping Keane. Wouldn't be surprised if he plays Keane on the left. So my guess at the line-up is:

if dos santos plays i would like to see him on the right and not on the left for modric/kranjcar. I think he will get his chances after the chelsea game against weaker sides when we are winning, bringing lennon off and giovani on.

I think King and maybe Gomes will be fine and Bassong wasn't even injured (according to Archie) and I think Crouch deserves a go and Keane hasn't been good enough. So-

i'd like to see pav and defoe start up front they were linking very well last season before defoe got injured and i'd love to see them play together now especially when defoe is on fire. I'd like to see:

with lennon in the 'modric' role and bentley on the right i'd like to think it would work and bentley does seem to play well against man u. And well if bentley doesn't seem to cut it then we can bring on dos santos or kranjcar at half time.

According to a post in the SC ITK thread attributed to Dragon1, King is expected to be fit to play against utd.

Like other have said, a bit too early to pick a side yet. Good news though that Corluka got sent off on Saturday and is suspended for Wednesday nights game. Also good news that Trappatoni has released Keane from the Republic squad for their next match.
