One of the hallmarks of the Ferguson era was that his key players would often suffer a minor injury before a meaningless international only to miraculously heal before the next domestic game. Marginal gains before it became a fashionable termIf we allow Kane to join up with England we're a joke. No way would other clubs allow it after him recently missing games because of injury.
Is Bale going to be fit?
His inclusion could seriously influence our team selection. Real lost to Girona today, and they are going to be seriously 'up for it' on Wednesday. I don't agree that Kane should be left out. If he declares himself fit we must play him. I think if we try to be too clever and keep him back for the Palace and the scum match, it might bite us in the arse as these things sometimes do. The best laid plans etc...
I was thinking the exact same thing. I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench but if I was Poch I'd give him the rest of the week to get fit for the League. whether we qualify or not (we should) won't rest on that result.I'd be tempted to leave Kane out. Our CL progression won't rest on this game, and we need to make sure he 100% especially coming up to Christmas..
"...yeah - we don't "need" to win, let's not try...it's not like 'the game is about glory' or anything..."
