I would rather see Ndombele and Winks get 45mins each. Sissoko isn't a CM

Disagree. This isn't a pre-season game. Sissoko can fit a CM role rather than having two players who has hardly featured in the pre-season game

We have plenty of games to experiment in a short space of time

I wonder when team news and pre match press conference will be. As we are playing Sunday I’m assuming tomorrow for the team news. Press conference could be either day.

I really haven’t been paying much attention to the friendlies but notice hardly anyone has put Le Celso in their teams. Is he injured?

Most definitely out. He missed all of pre season. We’ll find out what’s going on at Jose’s presser tomorrow or Saturday, provided he says something.

Why are so many people selecting Aurier over Doherty??

Why are so many people selecting Aurier over Doherty??
Probably because they expect José to start him?

I can understand the thinking behind this, Doherty hasn't even had a game with the team, and has been away for internationals this week.

I'm certain he was bought as first choice RB, but without any proper integration with the group, José might opt for Aurier. As we all know, we have a lot of games in the coming weeks, so I'm sure there'll be minutes enough for everybody.

Everyone is still used to Poch when he would take 4 weeks to give a new signing a start. I see no reason Aurier would start. Doherty has some International games played and a week of training with the squad so he should be sharp. He's also not new to the PL so no need to ease him in.

Very obvious the team that Jose will pick. It should be this:

Lloris
Doherty Toby Dier Davies
Hojbjerg Winks
Lucas Alli Son
Kane
Only question mark might be Sanchez over Alderweireld, just because Sanchez hasn't been on international duty.

I agree with this too. I think Sanchez will play ahead of Toby or Dier; Sanchez has the speed to recover and deal with direct long balls over the head.

I think this is a great game for Dele Alli to play. Everton is easy to play against (weak DMs) so he will get chances, especially with a longball from our DF.

I think Lucas might get played on the other side to nullify Digne.

Anyone else slightly worried Doherty won’t start ?

If we're still trying to sell Aurier, it would make sense to start Doherty to minimize any chance of Serge getting injured. Also, Doherty is the better player and Jose will want his best players on the field to help him win.
