I know he won’t change it, but I think he’s wrong to say we can’t play any other way.
How about trying Skipp as the holding midfielder, which is what he is. How about Bissouma as the ball winner, which he is. How about Bentancur as the the press trigger, which he is/does. That would allow us to have 4 at the back, Skipp dropping in to a three when needed. Not a rigid, predictable three at the back with no movement. That’s what Poch was good at in the early years, you could see a significant change in the team with and without the ball. It made sense. At the moment, what we’re doing, doesn’t make sense.
