Good or bad?

I think his words were "Its not sport".

He said it's not sport if success is guaranteed

He also said its not sport if you don't have to earn it, its pretty clear he isn't a fan.

“It’s an honour to speak first for City,” he joked. “I’m a good spokesman. We (managers) talk six times a week, we are asked about the NHS, COVID etc, we can say how we feel”

“We are not the right people to answer the questions. The presidents can speak more clearly about where football is going to go. It is uncomfortable for us because we don’t have all the information,”

“I can give you my opinion, but no more. That is the reality. I would love the president of the committee to go out around the world and explain how we got this decision. I support my club… I love to be part of this club.

“But I also have my opinion but right now it is just a statement. That is why it is uncomfortable for the managers. We don’t have all the information.”

“They told me they would release the statement and it is still there but nobody speaks clearly about what it is going to do/create and we are still in this position.”

“Every club defends its position. Don’t be cynical. Everyone makes their own interests. When you talk about the Premier League and UEFA, they look after their interests. UEFA have also failed. They have to communicate, be in touch.”

“It’s not sport when there is no relation between effort and success, it’s not sport. It’s not sport if it doesn’t matter if you lose. I’ve said many times I want the best competition as possible. It’s not fair if teams fight at the top and cannot qualify.’

I’m not sure if anyone else feels the same, but it almost feels like the final nail in the coffin for me. Football isn’t what it once was for me. I’ve become disillusioned with it all, not just Spurs. I still watch every Spurs game because I feel like I have to, but it has become more of a chore of late (by late I mean last 2 years or so).

I feel so apathetic to the performances, the results, the players, the club in general. I was glad we played Friday night because I didn’t have to think about Spurs, or any football, for the rest of the weekend.

I’ve supported Spurs for almost 30 years now. It has been, mostly, a pain in the arse. But it is, or was, ingrained. I’m just not sure I care too much anymore. Maybe it’s a sign of age, or the landscape of football, or both.

I emailed the club and asked how best to cancel my membership. It might only be £50, but I refuse to waste my money on something that I feel is a very one way street, and has been for a long time.

Have at it lads. I’ve enjoyed reading the posts on this forum for a long time, and people might think I’m a ‘bad’ fan, and that’s fine. But I felt like I was in a relationship that I was looking for a way out of, and I’ve just been given it.

When people tell you to forget your morals, it’s business, then what’s the point. That’s not for me
??
Go cold turkey. Don't watch games, don't check results. It gets easier and easier, and you feel happier and happier.

This is quite worrying, they aren't saying they are leaving, they are "requesting" they be allowed to.

I can understand Levy going for it when the others had accepted. Just hope he's as quick rescinding his choice like Chelsea and, apparently, City as well.

The hypocrisy of sky has no boundaries when they had a complete control over premier league it was fine it was good business sense but any other kind of closed shop / complete control is a disgrace . Of course the whole thing is wrong and disgraceful but for me I dont want to hear the sky usual suspects pontificating as tho they were spotless .

UEFA and FIFA are hypocritical as well when they have the nerve to talk about greed
