No this isn't a thread about Valentines Day but shaping up to be one of the most important 'super sundays' for us for many a year.

Man City vs Spurs
Arsenal vs Leicester

With the fixtures before this game being kind for us and with Man City playing Leicester the weekend before, this set of fixtures could be season defining.

Sorry love, football's more important.

Won't be that defining if we don't do well in the previous matches. I'll hold off thinking about that matchday until we've played the games before.

Safe logic. I hate getting carried away but I did caveat it with a "could".

My initial reaction was "Why is everyone talking about their marriages!?".

Then I'm all like "Oh yeah, the title of the thread alludes to Valentine's Day".

Then I'm all like "Why are they bringing that talk here! This is a bloody Tottenham forum".

Then I'm all like "Let it go Spills, they're just pretending they hate being married in order to tell us they're married (because they secretly love it, but are scared if they don't do the whole 'bloody women' eh? roll of the eyes we'll judge them for not being real men.

Then I'm all like "Why do I keep starting sentences with 'Then I'm all like".

So I stop. And decide never to drink again on a Sunday night.

Well I'll redress the balance by saying that Valentines Day is nothing but a cynical load of bollocks designed to manipulate men out of money.

Luckily my missus kind of agrees, but I'll just take her and the little'un out the night before to sweeten the deal. (y)

Couldn't agree more. We don't do Valentines Day in our house, for the very reasons you stated.

My wife gives me grief because she'll often get home from work & find a bunch of flowers waiting for her. She'd rather I spent it on the kids, but I like her more than them :cautious::D.

The wife/girlfriend/fiance/partner should be spoilt all year round, not just on valentines day because society & marketing departments dictate it!!

We don't do Valentine's Day normally either, I have never bought her a card or anything on the day but I have a sneaking suspicion that this will be the one that pushes her over the edge!

Watch this space.

The best way to deal with the whole romance/football scenario is to do both at the same time.

I've mentioned this before but basically I had sex doggie style whilst watching Spurs v Wimbledon on the box (not her box obviously, though that would've been friggin' awesome). We had an agreement that I'd try and bolt at the same time Spurs scored. I got myself to that stage where you can pretty much cum at any second if needed, then carried on slowly (and quickly) waiting for the breakthrough. We ended up scoring late in the first half and I managed to finish within seconds of the goal while I was cheering from behind. I don't know why this happened, it was always a thing of mine that I wanted to cum at the same time Spurs scored a goal and it's not really practical to do so at WHL, so my missus at the time said she'd do it for a giggle. The only downside was that I basically came to a close up of Darren Anderton's long smiling face as it was him who scored. The next few times i came I had visions of Anderton smiling, as will anyone reading this now.

After the City game we have a massive fixture pile up around the Europa games. This year is definitely one we could do with out progressing in cup games as we really have as good a shot as anyone in the league. The Europa games are no doubt going to derail us again.

Sometimes I think about how it would be to be a fan of another club, to find out what spurs fans are saying in the lead up to a match with us, then finding this...

Been with my girlfriend for two years now so its our second valentines day. We've both agreed to celebrate it on the Friday or Saturday night as opposed to the actual day - Sunday 14th!
She's come to terms that spurs are my true love and will always come first, she's never been a football fan but over the last 2 years I've been moulding her into a spurs fan... buying her merchandise... scarves, foam fingers, teddy bears you know all that shit that they love.. its seems to have worked as she surprised me off her own back with the spurs stadium tour!
We watched the Spurs v Palace game on the weekend and she finally got to see with her own eyes what it is like to watch a game with me.. 90 minutes of pure up and down emotions from calling Delle Alli a cu** a 100 times to saying I love him 100 times... she thought i was bi-polar but has now realised what it actually means to us, heck she even got involved and got nervous as i did when they hit the bar twice and had there 5 minutes of pressure on us...I think I'm onto a winner with my lady!

Big weekend for sure. City will be up for it after our 4-1 win so we'll have to be at our best.

It will be fitting if Rose scores the winner.
