Disagree, I think he’s ready. He was fantastic against United on Wednesday.
Really? He made a number of rash challenges. Brainless stuff. On the other hand, he'd fit right in with Dier, Aurier and Sanchez.

edit: just coming back to this. He was subbed in like the 60th minute as he'd already been booked and was being pulled all over the place. Hadn't watched him all season, so didn't know what to expect. Was slightly saddened to see he was virtually the same player he was with us. Maybe he was better throughout the course of the season?

If Mahrez is available this summer - I would bring him in in a heartbeat.

We do need to prioritise getting in a defender or two though clearly and definitely a right back

No way City let him go, he’s been a key player for them

Apparently Botman claimed he wants to stay. That said, he also mentioned not being much aware of Lille's financial situation. He hasn't been heavily linked with us like Andersen has, though, and I think he would be too pricey for us

I can see us finally getting Zaha this summer if Poch comes back. He's always wanted him and I think it's now or never if he's ever going to leave Palace.

Kane
Son----------Bale---------Zaha
That would be an absolutely filthy front 4.

I dont think Bale is coming back but I def wouldnt be against Zaha. Kane dropping deep and pinging crosses to Son and Zaha could be devastating.

@he is you know! @sirleytonbrisbane lol at your random and unexplained dislikes. Cheer up lads!

That lineup scares me....and not for the right reasons.

The annual obsession with Zaha, where does that come from?

The guy has managed to score more than 7 goals in a season just 3 times in his whole career, and that includes 4 seasons in The Championship.

He spends more time on the floor, moaning to/at the ref than he does on his feet. And he sulks when things aren't going his way.

He signs contract after contract, only to then immediately cry at the end of the season, blurting to the press about how he wants to be at a club that plays CL/European football.

He's made his bed, and has only himself to blame for being stuck in it.

All of that said, I can't & won't deny that this post is loaded with unquestionable bias, driven by an extremely irrational disliking towards him, the non-stop cooing over him from Sky etc, and his unbelievably slapable fucking face.

People berate Son for going missing in parts of the season, but then crave a guy who's never even come close to producing the numbers that Son has consistently produced.

Same position. Same age. I know which one I'd rather we had. And we've got him!

I get your argument but it literally comes down to the fact I think without being double and triple marked every game, being able to go one vs one with defenders every time he gets the ball at a top club with other players for the defensive team to worry about.. I think he’d be an absolute weapon. Just a guy feeling with some logic behind it, rather than relying on stats for everything. Stats are fine but I don’t think basing your entire opinion of a players quality on them is a great idea, there are a lot of variables

And, ironically, I think he is an absolute weapon.

But they won't be able to press from the front so it'd be quite ineffective.

it could be.
Personally I’m not a Zaha fan

Trouble is we would not be able to get them the ball, The disconnect between our midfield and attack this season was shocking.
It would require the two best CM on the planet to get them the ball. Even if we get the ball in the first place. Defensively we’d be wide open. So as well as a star CM pair we’d need the best back four too.
No team plays a front four.
Even Liverpool and City have a solid midfield three to let three forwards go play.
Best we can do is support a front three but really we’d be better with son and Kane upfront as a two. We know their link up is insane. Then source a midfield that can play and move the ball.
No more of this Winks/Sissoko hiding passing back none sense

we need to start this Summer by signing a CB, RB and CM
Then progress
We have a bench full of RW to be going on with

What am I missing? People are talking about Foyth and what we should do with him but isn't it out of our hands, he's gone unless Villareal, who by the way are in the CL next season, decide they don't want him, it's their option.

I guess the only saving grace could be foyth choosing not to stay there.
which would be reliant on Poch no doubt.
even then, not sure if foyth would be breaching the terms of the contract signed last summer to join Villarreal.
But if he’s happy to stay and Villarreal pay the agreed fee, he goes. End of story
