Yes, but none of them really deserve it, except perhaps Bentaleb. Of the current first team the only ones we could inprove on realistically are Rose, Lamela and Eriksen. Even then they would need to be World Class. Not sure we're going to attract world Class.

Three of our most important players this year. Say what you like about them but all have contributed to our success.

Players out:

Fazio, Yedlin and one of Bentaleb or Carroll (Would be really upset to see Carroll go but think he is most likely)

Players in:

Holding MF like Dier to back him up.
Possibly an experienced striker that could replace Kane for cups etc. (could see us signing Dembele from Fulham as that has gone quiet. Also linked to the Turkish holding Mid.)

This is a weird window and one that it will be really tough to improve our squad in. For the first time I can remember we have strength in depth and no obvious weaknesses. Letting anyone go is going to be tough and finding replacements/players that can improve positions will be hard. Also we don't have much squad to cut to raise funds for new players.

I don't have a bad thing to say about them TBH. Just think that they are the only three we could pootentially get better players in for. I have no issue with keeping them either.

For the first time in a long time, I can honestly say I don't think we need to "improve" in any position 1st team wise.

Adequate cover on the other hand is something we desperately need with CL and Cups worth fighting for next season.

I'd like to see us take a new approach to signing players though. Here's my wishlist stipulations:

Must be younger or experienced player willing to share a role with current 1st team player in the same Position. This is a team after all, and like Leicester, even the Bench players know their role and respect it enough to fulfill those obligations when they are called upon.

If possible, Player must be homegrown. I'd like to see us sign some local talent. Not 100% necessary though.

Mustn't cost an arm and a leg to sign, even with the new money coming in plus possible bonuses for finishing higher in the log than expected, I don't want us to splurge unnecessarily and mess with the team chemistry.

These are not too say I won't have a splash if we sign someone major, but I don't crave it like I used too. I have full faith in our current squad, and at any cost we must keep this chemistry and family-feel intact with the new additions. This is my #1 wish.

Positions and my picks for cover:

CB: Name on

DM: Sven Bender

ST: Ayoze Perez

LW: Jack Grealish

I'd take Bender, Grealish is more interested in being a prize twat than a footballer though. Perez isn't strong enough to play the Kane role so I'd pass on him.

Ii dont think we should loan Onomah. I reckon he'll have a real breakout year next seaon. Perhaps not Kane/Alli levels, but a genuinely important player in our squad. Just feels to me that once hes had another preseason under this fantastic coaching setup and finds his natural position on the pitch he'll flourish.

It's going to be very difficult for Onomah to even get on the bench, especially with Njie and Pritchard coming back and Son hopefully improving next season. Even with cup competitions, might be best all round if he goes on loan and gets a proper run in a team, preferably premiership team (maybe newly promoted side).

If we are to bring in Boufal I think we'd need to get rid of at least two of our AMs (if not more).

We have Eriksen, Alli, Lamela, Chadli, Son, Pritchard, Njie, and Onomah. A lot of them barely had minutes and that would just be too many players to conceivably spread minutes around. I'd think Son and Njie are staying around to prove themselves.

How exactly could we realistically improve on Rose, Lamela and Eriksen?!?!

Never understood the hype around Pritchard he can't get into a very poor West Brom team

Pulis once signed a top international player for his Stoke team, but hardly played him.
You have do be very tall, dirty, or able to throw the ball far to get into his side.
Shocking loan move..

Then we'd have to hope Man U, Arsenal, City, Chelsea all aren't interested as they can easily outbid us.

Because they're all more appealing to young, ambitious, English talent right now..
