I think Whiteman, Walcott and Robson will get released. Cesay, Lyons-Foster, Bowden and Santiago will get new deals with the priority to find them a club and get a loan and maybe a transfer fee. Cassanova has already been released. I think Muir, Paskotski, John and Mundle get longer extensions.
Cassanova still currently employed by the club. I saw him at Hotspur Way watching with Bowden during the Norwich game.

I think we’re set for a big revamp of the existing 23s this summer.

Out of contract -
Whiteman, Cesay, Walcott, Muir, Lyons-Foster, Paskotsi, John, Bowden, Robson, Craig, Cassanova, Santiago, & Mundle(offered new deal)

How many do you think get offered new deals? Paskotsi and Craig only?

Keeley, Maguire, Gunter - 2024
Dorrington and Sayers - 2024
Ashcroft - 2025
White - 2024
Kyerematen - 2024
Devine - 2027
Donley - 2024
Lankshear and Soonsup - Bell - 2025
Dane - 2026
Parrott - 2025
Depends on whether the club think they can turn a buck by loaning or selling them, I’m guessing in some cases the club have the option of rolling the contract over for another year. Obika had more loans the local library’s copy of 50 Shades of Gray.
I would have thought the likes of Fagan-Walcott, John and Lyons-Foster could trigger a fee and there’s sell on clauses to consider. These are lads who could still have a decent career.

I would have thought the priorities on that list are those from Kyrematen down ? They seem to be the players that there is real excitement about. Do you think that other players on the list are being considered for new deals ?

Where did you get that from. Free agents can move anytime. Andr Ayew is about to do that to Forest or Everton

We would still hold his registration at the end of the window. So that can't be transferred to a new team until the transfer window reopens.

If you don't have a club you can still join a new club.

But can't you be released from your contract or mutually terminate it so that you're free to join a new club. Isn't that what happened with Serge Aurier when he went to Spain?

We terminated Aurier's contract a few hours before the window closed, not after.

"Aurier, as a free agent, could move to another club after Tuesday's deadline has passed."

Okay, thanks. I thought it was after.

So what was the deal with Madueke leaving?

I am guessing it had to do with not seeing a future path into the 1st team, and/or wanting a bigger contract.

I don't know why we would not take players that show that kind of ability - offer them a 4 year deal at 18, say £40K/week, then work out a loan to a Bundesliga team for a year or 2, and then see what we have after a couple of years playing senior games.

£40K/week for 4 years works out to £8.3M, which is less than we are paying for the likes of Clarke or Spence when we take speculative punts on other young players.

I would not do that for everyone - but surely we now have a good recruitment team to assess whether our players have potential.

Madueke left at 16 and you can't sign as a pro until 17, with the maximum length being 2-3 years depending on when your Birthday is.

Also, paying the kids a high wage sets a dangerous precedent with there being a huge chance the players at that age won't make it.

FT 1-0 win. Great result against a good City side who are currently top of the north division.

Into the semis!

I was told that Meghoma and Sam Amo got 6.5k per week at Southampton and we wouldn’t go anywhere near matching that.
