Man, that's a real shame. What you do you make of it Lilywhite? Its quite an unusual move. The only reason I can think for doing this is that we're pretty convinced that his injury has ended his chances at a professional career. Especially considering some of the less than quality youngsters we've kept on for years because of their struggles with injuries, Jeremie Mukendi, I'm looking at you.
Having talked to someone whose known him for a few years it seems Spurs misdiagnosed an injury he had and he’s never really recovered. It was only a few years ago he was winning player of the tournament at a lot of the youth international tournaments we participate in like Saturn Cup etc. The only recent similar scenario I can think of is when we released Moroyin Omolabi mid season without officially announcing anything. I suspect one day his profile will just be removed from official site without any notification.

He must have been clearly below par, but who knows could be external reasons. Harsh but probably best for both rather than drag it out for 6 months. Wonder if he will be replaced.
I don’t think he will be replaced with Han Wilhoft King and Samuel Amo-Ameyaw already playing up a level from u16s and Archie Chaplin albeit a CB also playing up.

Please let us know how he does if you watch
Some messages I received from an Estonian chap I follow on Twitter

“Great! Id say he has been our best player tonight. A lot of clearances. Right CB up against Hazard and KDB who interchange a lot”

He also mentioned that he is one yellow card away from a suspension.

Do you have any insight as to how far away from being integrated into the first team? Or whether he even has the potential?

We don't want another Carter-Vickers

Here are the highlights. If you were being overly critical, you could argue he should have attempted to cut out the cross for the first goal, but he may have got a shout from the keeper (keeper's is the main one at fault even if not). Second goal you could argue he should have stood up better to try and block the shot. 3rd goal, I have no idea what the entire defence was doing, 3 players tried to close down the player crossing, 3 players (1 of which was Paskotsi) marked 1 Belgian attacker and basically just spectated the event and then 1 defender was left marking 2 Belgian players, 1 of which scored.

Always worth remembering, he is an inexperienced 18 year old, playing in a defence that doesn't look particularly well organised, playing one of the highest ranked National teams in the world, that has lots of experience, quality and all the players have played a lot together.

Thanks friend. You've highlighted what he's done wrong. Any insight into his strengths? Far more interested in that ?

None shown in the highlights but they rarely do show good play by defenders unless it's a last ditch tackle.

told Academy Year 1 player, Axel Piesold has been released. The Finsbury Park born midfielder was announced as part of 14 strong scholarship in July but not made a match day squad for the U18’s this season. Missed a whole year with injuries too. Good Luck Axel View attachment 99729

Thanks for your information. I’ve just caught up with your podcast which was as interesting as usual. You sound much more relaxed than in your first couple of podcasts - good stuff, it can’t be easy.

Has anybody noticed Woolwich signed a kid called Jimmi Gower as a 1st year trainee this year? Turns out he is the son of Mark Gower who used to play for us in the 80's. and came up through our youth ranks. Eventually left for Swansea. Makes you wonder how we missed him.

We can't take everyone and by the sounds of it his dad wanted him to go there. Bit weird considering Mark is and always has been a massive Spurs fan.

Perhaps he know those in front of him at Spurs are better than they are at Arsenal?

Just a nothing thought but I realised watching a compilation of him that stylistically he reminds me of Foden. Same build, left footed, the upright running style, head up, and quick feet, also seems to strike the ball and pass with some finesse. It hadn’t occurred to me before because of the different emphasis in their positions but there’s kind of an overlap.

Rafferty Pedder on trial with QPR and playing for their 23s today. Spurs contract expires on 30 June 2022 so presume he’s been told he’s to be released.
