Always liked Mark Gower, felt he had more ability than a lot of the crap we played in midfield at the time like Sherwood and Freund.

I'm not sure, for all the money they've spent on it, that Liverpool's academy is all that.

Spurs need to get on this Leyton Orient kid Rheon Smith-Kouassi. He's a 15 year old striker who's banging the goals in for their U18s. He's big for that age, strong, good touch, lethal finisher. He runs the channels really well. He looks like he's going to be something. He's signed a scholarship for next season already I believe but I'm sure we could get him for peanuts.

Heard about him. Apparently we know about him, also others. Probably bide his time there and go to a club where by time he is 17/18 getting sub-chances.

Smith-Kouassi has scored 2 and laid off the 3rd in the first half of their youth cup game against Newport Town. This Orient team is a really good one. Japhte Tanga is a good young winger, his dribbling and strength on the ball is outstanding. He's so direct, he just gets the ball and starts beating players as he charges towards goal. There's a couple of ex-O's there as well in midfielder Zech Obiero & keeper Noah Phillips although I don't think they're on the level of Tanga and RSK.

I'm picturing a 5'5 version of Tanganga, I think the extra nga is worth about 5 inches.

Does anyone know what has happened to Jez Davies? He doesn't seem to have played much this season but looked a real prospect on the few occasions I have seen him.

As @Spurzinho said bad injury and I even saw him on photography duty for the official site at one of the U18s games this season. Understand he’s now recovered and begun full training.

We will play Ipswich Town in the FA Youth Cup following their 4-1 victory over Aldershot Town tonight. Will be a very tough game. An Ipswich U23 side beat a Spurs x11 in a friendly at Hotspur Way last week.
