Good luck to the lad, let's see how he fares in the Portuguese league. Hopefully he can become an integral part of their team and get his move to a bigger club!

Actually I think that was a guess by someone. But he’s definitely in Portugal.

We have reached agreement with Portuguese side Vitória for the transfer of Marcus Edwards.
The Academy graduate made one appearance for us in an EFL Cup tie against Gillingham in September, 2016, and spent time on loan at Norwich City and Excelsior Rotterdam during the last two seasons.
We wish Marcus all the best for the future.

Absolutely fascinated to get some more detail on your thinking here.
It's gonna be a big culture shock for him there. A lot more people in Holland speak English, for instance, which would have helped on his loan. He'll need to be tough to make it and my instincts tell me he'll be back in a season or two, but lower down the ladder.

It’s a great opportunity for him they are a decent team should be in top half. And style of play will suit him.

vitoria finished 5th in portugal last season and are also in this year's europa league, funnily enough they're in arsenal's group so that could be interesting. i wish him all the best and really hope he can prove people wrong.

The 20-year-old signed a contract valid until 2023, with Vitória holding 50% of his economic rights. The agreement also provides for a € 15 million termination clause.

Good luck to him, hopefully he can kickstart his career.

You don’t have to be Nostradamus to see attitude problems have played a part in his stagnation. It’s disingenuous to act like they haven’t. (Not that anybody here is doing that)

Immensely talented though, hope he proves all the doubters wrong.

TBF to him he seemed to address on his last loan, he has been given a second chance but has fallen victim of a poorly run academy imo

As for defending his attitude, I think the flack he got off spurs fans was ridiculous and people made out he had a huge attitude problem when imo he was just a modern day teenager. I remember him getting abuse for looking miserable in photos, if he was white imo he would get those sort of comments imo and remember people almost calling him too "ghetto"

I think he has gone portugal because he just wants out of spurs tbh and dont blame him

I won't be surprised if he ends up in a premier league club or QPR in 4/5 months time

I think he is right to move abroad. Whether correct or not he got too much bad press from uk . Needs to go away concentrate on his football , come back and see what he can do .
