Watching NBC. Earl said spurs need to ensure opposition doesnt have large amounts of possession. Then Le Saux said villa did well despite only having 30% possession

When Eriksen came on, I'm guessing the rest of the players thought, 'Great - now we can do this.' I would not underestimate the impact of Eriksen's unsettled situation on the rest of the team.

Poch has a predicament - Winks, Sissoko, Ndombele. Pick 2 and play a two man midfield. Winks/Sissoko/Ndombele looks terrible and doesn't have the right balance. Excited to see Lo celso add a bit of tenacious play in the middle, with his bursts of acceleration.

I feel (and hope) today’s line-up was more to do with who he had available and perhaps Eriksen’s head not being completely right or Poch preparing for life without him.

I seriously hope once we have players fit that he’ll play the 4-2-3-1 with Winks and Ndombele allowed to play centrally with Lo Celso available as an attacking option further up in the attacking three. None of this diamond bollocks.

It's not a predicament. Love Sissoko but think he'll become a tactical player when needed. Ndombele, Winks and Lo Celso is the way forward hopefully with Eriksen in too.

Anyone else think there's a player in GKN? He must be our fastest player. There's something there imo, he has all the physical tools. It must be his attitude.

Might not be attitude. Maybe just bloody quick but no brain, or shit decision making.

Ndombele is going to get Son into a lot of great positions this season when he attacks space.

What I learnt today is that we still lack tactically nous when it comes to breaking down a deep defence and that our season hinges on whether we keep Eriksen or not.

well it shouldnt. every other club in the world can win a game without Eriksen. Its up to Poch to figure out how.

If he can sustain how he played in the last 39 mins he'll be unstoppable.

That 90 mins should help, looks like he could be leaner to me

After the French league he must of wondered what had hit today. Looked fcuked after 25 mins and was apparently going to be substitued just before he scored.

When he gets up to speed and fitness for the PL he's going to be a monster.

I like his incisive forward passing as well, something we desperately miss at times.

Good win in the end, Eriksen changed the game & hopefully he starts next week ! Once we have GLC, Son & Dele available well be even more potent in attack !

Planned on watching the game when I woke up in the morning. Woke up at HT due to 7 month old teething, stupidly checked the score and couldn’t get back to sleep.

Can’t talk about the first half obviously but thought we were impressive in that second half but missed that spark. That spark was Eriksen. As soon as he came on, he demanded the ball. Must start going forward.

Kane, first of many at the new stadium.

Tanguy looks class.
