I’m at the match so don’t have the benefit of tv replays and I’ve a few questions.

Tell me about Auriers 2 bookings. Both fair? Any mitigating factors?

what happened with Lloris?

Have I missed anything else?

First yellow easily a yellow. Went through the player with his trailing foot.

Second, not sure, haven't seen a replay.
Might have pulled the player back, but then no card when Kane was pulled down. Very soft if its a yellow.

Lloris just fucked up. Didn't know what to do and then did nothing. Should just put his foot through it and get it away from goals.

First booking was rash and on another day with another ref it could've been red.
Second was weak basically the guy ran across Serge and fell, he didn't really do anything other than run back with the guy.

Lloris decided to try out his clown skills (as he'll be needing them for kids parties soon) and dallied on the ball and when he realised the attacker was a bit close went for the clown option of a drag back, only he missed the ball. :X3::clown:

I have no qualms with Aurier sending off but I can't see how none of the Saints players have been carded !!!!!

What’s the purpose of having VAR screens at pitchside when the refs don’t use them.

Because it looks like progress. Most of these PL refs have the brain capacity of gerbils and can't be trusted to draw a straight line on a computer let alone interpret a bit of footage properly.

I take it you’re watching the game? We look like a side with a manager who will get the sack soon.

It’s a gung ho game, relying on individual quality to score goals, no discernible structure to our game. We look open at the back, and the mentality of our players is all wrong which you can see from Lloris and Auriers fuck ups.

Literally you could have Tim Sherwood in the dugout, that’s what this game reminds me of.
You’re going to be so angry if we win, arent you? Like foaming out the mouth.

First game at the Lane in 4/5 years certainly hasn't been short of drama. Fuck me. Pissed.

I guess Aurier has took a bit of stick on here but that second yellow happened right in front of me and Bertrand jumped up in the air and hit the ground, no foul no yellow and no red, they had clearly got the measure of the referee and he knew he could trick him and get our player sent off.

This is the sort of thing that absolutely does my nuts in, it's disgusting behaviour. I can just stomach players diving to win free kicks and penalties but to exaggerate contact so as to get your opponent sent off or booked is absolutely despicable. It goes beyond cheating it's spiteful af and I have no shame in admitting that I hope the guilty players get a real reason to roll around in agony some day.

I'm not defending Aurier, because he was terrible. But look at Winks in that situation. First he stops and shout at the assistant referee. After that he turn around, jog slowly and shout at the referee. It's fucking terrible from his side. You play until the game is stopped. It's basic football and soemthing you learn as a kid. Otherwise, he has been good.

Yeah I hate that.

Like when players stop to try and get someone offside and are too busy waving their arm in air and complaining at ref, which will change nothing.
