For me the most frustrating thing is our passing patterns and how slow and predictable they are.

If you look at way that we try to break down defensive teams and compare it to Man City and Liverpool the difference is light and day. Unless one of our players has a moment of creative magic, we just pass the ball slowly from side to side. I appreciate Poch is playing percentage football and we're not going gung-ho, but even teams like Norwich look much more well drilled and inventive in their passing moves.

However, I'm hopeful that, while things wont magically get better, today was a raging cocktail of shite:

- No (good) creative players in the lineup.
- A very deep, defensive team who scored with their only chance of note in the game.
- A terrible refereeing decision costing us a pen.
- 2 or 3 awful misses you'd expect us to score.

It's rare that this many things will go against us, and, even though we'll inevitably play badly in plenty more games this season, it's unlikely that we'll have to suffer this particular brand of spunk-tinted White Russian on a regular basis.

Been saying this for a couple of seasons now and especially last week against City. Our players don’t seem to know what the game plan or which position they should be in to receive the ball. Seems like all they do in training is kick a ball around for the social media videos that get posted.

Doesn’t help that Kane has been shite and offered nothing today, he never got into the six yard box for a cross.
We need a captain who will roll up his sleeves, get stuck in and lead by example. Not blaming Lloris for the defeat but how can he inspire the team, control the tempo of the game and provide leadership 80m from where the play is happening?

Another worrying thing about todays formation was the fact we started with Kane, Son, Lucas and Lamela.

All 4 of the attacking players in the squad, so we had no option on the bench to freshen it up.

Lack of squad depth is a worry right now especially if Eriksen goes.

We have a very good starting 11. Weak squad as an entity - yes. But a very good starting 11. That's tempting for instance Mourinho. I'm not saying I desire for Mourinho to take over for Pochettino, but it is foolish to think we wouldn't attract top drawer managers.
He wouldn't take over mate he wouldn't accept the strict working conditions it's not for him.

Regardless of the non pen that should’ve been we were woeful. No cohesion, no fluidity, we looked clueless. The players don’t know how we’re supposed to play. All on Poch this - he needs to sort this shit out as I fear the scum will tear us a new one next week with their front three.

We're shit at the moment
We'll know if Poch really is a great manager within three more games
Critical time for this season so early on

There seems that something is seriously going wrong within the changing room.

He doesn't hide being pissed off very well and it's bound to have consequences. Picking that midfield when he has Eriksen and Lo Celso on the bench must confuse players as much as us.

It's like they're losing interest as a group. Watching players leaving, knowing the manager and a number of better players will be leaving with him.

The truth is we're far too easy to defend against.

We don't move the ball with zip and are static with our movement.

So we can't break the lines anywhere enough for the poseession we have.

With the quality we have on that pitch it's pretty ridiculous and it's been going on for way too long.

This is a coaching problem that Poch has to address but hasn't.

We're regressing because of it.

There is simply no excuse that can cover having two shots on target at home against Newcastle. Absolutely none

I would like Rose as Captain, but it won't happen.

Sissoko created our only two good chances today. There were bigger problems out there than him.

No. We needed creativity to break them down and used a unit that has only ever played well as a defensive wrecker in a key position. It was rubbish from Poch and Sissoko is a bad player in the opposition half.

Mourinho was at the stadium again today and keeps being incredibly positive about us in the media.

Don't know why, but I have a funny feeling he'd be in with a shout if Pochettino does decide his time is up at some point. Hopefully he won't though, of course.

Apparently he's working for Sky so that's why he was there.

This has nothing to do with Eriksen staying or going, or squad depth. Be real. We have a real footballing style and philosophy problem at the moment that transcends that. This has been obvious for a LONG time, regardless of players we have had, do have or will have.

Absolutely. From our displays on the pitch it looks like we do the same thing in training every week and hope things click on the weekend. Bad traits that our team now have aren't being ironed out, we seem to be showing them still week after week.

Normally I'd be angry after such a result but I'm perfectly calm as you could see something was wrong after only 10 minutes. If anything I'm a little worried. The only thing that gives me hope is players returning that may somehow have us clicking. I'm not sure I have much faith in Poch slightly changing our DNA to achieve positive results again, plus him omitting Vertonghen isn't helping.

Eriksen leaving is looking increasingly damaging after every time we play without him too.
