I don't blame Jose for the lack of attacking subs, with Dele suspended and Lucas unfortunately suffering an injury in training yesterday, we simply didn't have any options to change the game up front. It's not Jose's fault we don't have anyone to come on for Kane when he's well off the pace.

He looked like a pub player again. It's a shame we can't get Osimhen because I honestly think he could push him for a spot at this rate.

Gedson over Ndombele was madness, we needed someone to keep hold of the ball and be capable of playing a killer pass.

Everything I have seen of N'Dombele is being an absolute liability off of the ball, that was exactly what we didn't need at the time.

Two hours ago, we’d all have taken a point.

We were literally winning the game until the ref failed to give us a clear corner and we gifted them a penalty.

That was a vast improvement on getting run ragged by them at Old Trafford earlier this season.

Obviously we were poor, but I must have missed how brilliant we were under Pochettino the last 12-18 months under him etc. Not really sure what people are expecting. We looked solid defensively against a good team that hadn't conceded in 9 out of their 11 last games or something, but the expectation is still that we create lots and lots of chances? I don't get it.

I wish we were in a better place, but now it really is about taking those small steps. If we play like this defensively going forward we have a solid base to build on.

But he's far more effective centrally. And gio doesn't really play wide, gedson has done in the past for benfica.

Never mind the defence.

Our major issue is technical ability in possession. Things like giving the ball, under pressure, to Davies on his right foot when the out ball is down the line on his left. Like sending a 10 yard pass outside of Gedson's inside run taking him back to the touchline. Like any number of over-hit, or under-hit passes that kill a counter-attack.

These are the reasons our defence ends up being under pressure when we turn over ball in dangerous areas because of a lazy, misplaced pass.

Dier is pushing him off the pitch and Pogba falls forward. When United are being awarded 16 penalties in this season (NINE more than the next) it’s hardly fucking surprising they’re all diving inside the box.
