It was mentioned by someone in the Kane thread, and I do think that depending on the score at the time there could be a huge element of cutting off our nose to spite our face... however, a large part of me would love to see the reaction, if Kane starts on the bench, and near the end with one sub left, Nuno leaves Harry seated and brings Scarlett on instead - especially to a big ‘one of our own’ chant.

Anyone would think we haven’t beaten them the last two times we’ve played them at home.

Yes, we talk about changing our mentality but that really isn't it.

City have a better squad but it's still 11 men v 11 and it's all about our attitude out there.

We have to go in there believing that we will win if we all work hard and stick to the game plan.

Win our individual battles, back up our team mates and give it everything we've got and we have every chance of coming away with something.

But go out there already believing we are going to lose and there is only going to be one outcome.

If Kane and Ndombele are not in the squad then that's our best player and most expensive signing nowhere near the team.

Not great is it?

Let's hope we can keep it tight til the last 20 mins and our superior fitness comes into play to stab in a winner

Not sure why Twitter went with that caption when the Instagram caption is much better.

That's the complete wrong attitude imo.

Yeah we don't give anything away, but we are at home, new manager, new season, first full house for 18 months, we go out with a positive mindset to win the bloody game!

Not expecting too much
but performance is the key today.
Rather than result.
Better to play City
first game than last.
Could hustle for a draw

Taking away the roundabout, and replacing it with that abomination by the shopping centre, was a complete cluster fuck imo.
Don't even get me started on Highbury corner. The person who signed off on that mess should be publicly flogged.
I live near the Holloway Rd. I have not been through Highbury Corner a single time since its completion, without there being road works, often development-related, and a lane missing. There has been no chance to assess whether the system works, because it has been permanently obstructed since completion.

And it's the same principle: the work was done to open up the green space for the use of local people and workers - not to benefit transport through the junction, but for people using the space.

There is no one person "signing off" this kind of project. There is an intentional set of national and local policies to make public spaces, including streets, serve the needs of local residents and workers, on foot and on two-wheeled transport, even where it makes through traffic more difficult. It's not a bug, it's a feature.

I think it would be an overstatement to say that there is a campaign to make driving across London slower and more difficult, but it is certainly true that if a project to improve streets for local users makes the neighbourhood less attractive for through traffic, that is considered an acceptable side effect.
