We weren't actually that bad in the first half. Definitely a shift from defending from the edge of our own area. Conceded a soft goal and then an individual error.

Lost count on how many times we got into promising positions on the right and left flank only for royal and sessegnon to squander all of those opportunities.

Very good 2nd half. Seems to be the new spursy thing now. But let's not get ahead of ourselves - We were at home to a Liverpool team that's currently a million miles from its best. Work in progress

All this can’t blame the ref bollox is one of the reasons why the standard of officiating is fucking woeful in this country, they have no accountability in fuck up after fuck up…not just Spurs matches but across the league.

Game summed up a lot of our problems quite well. We have CB's in Dier and Davies who are simply not up to the task and can't be trusted. Don't care if they have a run where they look half decent and have people changing their minds about them....truth is they've been here nearly 10 years and I've never thought we've got quality CB's on our hands here. Likes of Guehi/Andersen from Palace, Botman/Schar from Newcastle are better than those two and no doubt more.

Then stating the obvious, our wingbacks are not fit for purpose. Royal especially will never be wingback and I don't really expect him to do anything in the last third when he gets there. It's a total waste of time playing him there and chapter needs closing.

Fuck off are we meant to be proud of the second half, because that's four games in a row where exactly the same thing has happened. The most limp dick of first half performances with no intensity, urgency, energy, quality, ambition etc, and then all of a sudden a complete reversal after the break where suddenly we wake up. This might not be the best team/squad, we might be depleted in number, but in all these games we're showing we're eminently capable of trying to play a bit of football on the front foot with energy and demonstrably taking it to the opposition, we just don't do it until the situation absolutely forces us to.

It's an either/or. That we're deliberately playing "anti-football" and trying to get away with doing as little as possible (unlikely), or something is going wrong in the preparation. Conte/Players/Fans can all come out and say that this is not the plan, but those cries do have shades of the Mourinho era where the same things defences were being said about "he tells them to press!" or that the team weren't supposed to sit back on a lead and go into their shells. At the end of the day something in how we're preparing for matches - whether that is tactical instruction, what is being done on the training pitch, what is said during the heat of the 90 minutes, whatever - is leading to the whole collective going out and operating in that fashion, so there is an issue, and Conte and co. have to get to the bottom of it.

Who should he pick then? Please tell me from the options available what he should do? Some people are utterly baffling.
You could certainly make an argument for Doherty over Emerson. Especially if your tactic is to push nunes back on the right.

Considering the players we had out, we’ve played surprisingly well and deserve something out of the game.

Despite the naysayers, there’s reason to be optimistic for when the season restarts after the World Cup and even more so if we can bring a couple in this coming January
We deserved what we got. You can't complete for one half only and expect to win games. They had injuries too and hadn't won an away game all season. We didn't have the right shape, tactics, or mindset. I'm optimistic that we have a manager with a good track record, but right we're going backwards rather than forward and he needs to start showing some progress.

The result was shit because the of the goals conceded but we actually played alright too well. First half was much better than other first halves we have played so far this season, just limited because of the options we had up front.

So much better second half Doherty and Kula working well ,Unfortunately Emerson will get into a good position 7/8 times a game but the delivery is not of a required standard ,Doherty cameo was far superior !! I thing we will kick on in Jan
