Exactly, it’s a clear goal scoring opportunity and he’s last man. People seem to think it only counts as last man if you are far from goal. He dragged mount to the floor so mount couldn’t shoot properly

Skipp & Bissouma offered absolutely nothing and if anything it looked like we had 10 men for the last 30mins

Hmm...Maybe I'm misrembering but when they came on we were in control playing 352. It was the Lucas/Gil sub that changed it as we went back to 343.

Very harsh. He didn’t put a foot wrong defensively, granted his attacking threat can be better, but defensively he’s solid.

Lot's of people questioned Spences mentality before we bought him (incl his former coach) yet, we still went for him as our main rwb target, but surely buying someone just because of their position and HG status shouldn't be reason enough to go through with a purchase?

Is he another case of really poor scouting, or am I stupid? (Or more likely both)

There was also a point yesterday where he took a lot of criticism for not putting in a cross earlier to Kane and instead delayed and only won a corner. Numerous posts followed declaring him useless, and then from the resulting corner he put in an excellent cross that was headed just wide. No mention of that cross at all though funnily enough from those same posters , which in itself is remarkable because of how closely and objectively they are clearly watching him.

It's becoming more and more the norm on here that anything negative is highlighted to the max, and the positives are hardly mentioned.

Sounds a lot like Twitter which i don't even bother with anymore.

For the positives i actually think Royal has decent control of the ball, he can also pass around in very tight areas, last night he put in some great crosses. For people reading this as well a good cross is not just when somebody scores or nearly scores, sometimes a cross will be made in to a dangerous area as that is what is practiced and he has to rely on others getting into the right spots to get something on the ball.

Some players are different, mavericks etc etc - he could absolutely rip it up for us - has all the tools with bells on

Unfortunately Conte doesn’t look at you until you’re in the programme and towing the party line!

So based on that it looks a waste of time atm for both the player, manager and us!

Understandable from Skipp who has been out for a while and hasn't had much game time.

I'm surprised we don't use the u21 team to get some players back up to speed.

I think he generally deserves the stick he gets. His often the free man and does nothing with it. He really stands out as a week point in the team.

However I think he clearly has a great attitude and if we played in a back four then he would be great. He just doesn't look like a wingback

Saying that with Lucas back I do wonder if he starts there against teams outside the top four/six.
