I feel fine about that penalty being given because I remember the bullshit one given against Dier v Newcastle.

Its a stonewall penalty based on the law. Its VERY clear that his arm was WAYYYYY out from his body in an unnatural position. Bitch about the law all you want, but people should stops saying "thats not a penalty"..

Just think of the poor Arsenal fans that already think there is a conspiracy against them watching that pen being given. Bless them.

Massive relief to get that goal before HT as it quelled any unrest from the fans on the whistle and makes the team talk much easier.
I don't imagine they (Burnley) will change much for 20-30 minutes.
But we just have to remain patient and draw them out now.

We know how dumb the handball rule is and has been for a few years now. The rule is what it is. That was as clear a handball penalty as there is under these rules. No reason for them to be unhappy about it at all.

Wow! We are getting a lot of decisions lately.

Maybe but that was always going to be given once it was spotted. It's not even a debate under the current rules - arms up like that? Stonewall pen if the ball hits them. Every time.

Soft how? Sissoko against Liverpool is soft. If waving your arm fully in the box and stopping the ball isn't a pen then you might as well abolish hand balls
It’s the rules, but I think it’s ridiculous that Sissoko’s was a penalty and this one as well. It’s a timely gift which I’ll take gladly, but personally think handball should only be given if intentional or if an advantage was gained.

Burnley won't open up just yet, they'll knowing throwing players forward too early is suicide against us.

I’m watching Beun and they’ve just shown the current table from right to left. Mind blown!

Even with scoring the penalty, I would still take off Emerson (or Sanchez & move Emerson to RCB) at half time & put Kulu on.
Our right side is so pedestrian with Sanchez & Emerson (especially Sanchez) being so predictable & poor on the ball.

I just much prefer the old laws, either intention or stopping a goal. His arm is in an unnatural position but it's kicked at him from 2 yards away. Fucking stupid law change.
Agree. But I'll let this one slide.

It’s harsh but had to be given a penalty.

Some penalty by Kane though. So much pressure, never in doubt.
