''Tottenham boss Juande Ramos is ready to listen to offers for every member of his squad - bar five untouchables. The claims are Ramos has told chairman Daniel Levy that only five players Dimitar Berbatov, Alan Hutton, Robbie Keane, Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate are bullet-proof if anyone fancies raiding the Spurs squad in the summer''

Intresting, obviously can't believe everything you read, but that does sound quite likely actually. I expect there to be some changes but not quite as many as you'd think.

IMO yes those 5 are untoucables and there are a few more who we won't sell whilst not being 'untoucable':
Kaboul-potentiol!
Gunter-talent
Gilberto-Only just bought him
Bale-class when fit
Huddlestone-ever improving
Boateng-probably keep, young and talented
O'Hara-Versitility and also improving
Lennon?- Surely keep him, had an up and down season but a great player and also still improving.
Bent-Great striker and given games will score loads really hope we keep him, just needs a run of games and some confidence.

Then there are a number of players who may or may not go?
Cerny
Robinson
Chimbonda
Assou-Eketto
Dawson??-probably not?
Jenas??-Probably not?
Zokora??-Probably not?
Tainio
Taarabt
Malbranque

Then one's who almost certaintly will.
Stalteri
Gardener
Rocha
Lee.Y.P

who do you think should stay/go and who should be untoucable and who we should keep?

Surely that has to be nonsense? I agree the five mentioned are untouchable but would also think the following are safe too:

Bale (his name missing discredits the article straight away) - class and having spent 17m on him only last summer very unlikely...

Gunter - bought as one for the future and has looked good in few appearances made

Jenas - people will still be split on this but he has been very good for us since Ramos took charge and I fell will improve even further

Steeeed - been consistent for us this season and even if he is usurped on the wing by new recruits should still surely prove a good squad member?

Kaboul - a rough diamond who needs more time

Gilberto - we've only just bought, unless Ramos already senses a duffer?

Don't know about the other players - would like to keep the likes of Lennon and Dawson (and yes Robbo!) but maybe Ramos doesn't feel they are the required class? Who knows, guess we'll find out this summer!

For me it is:

Ledley (obviously)
Woody (he is awesome)
Keane (heart and soul of the team)
and thats it. Everybody else has a price, some prices substantially higher than others. For example if we get offered 50 million for Berbatov, he goes, no question. 20M for Bale? - gone. 50p for chimbonda- gone.

Do you not think the statement 'everyone has a price' also rings true for the three you have mentioned?

Im sure if the club was offered a higher enough amount for any one of those players they would be gone the same as anyone else.

Maybe players like Keane are less likely to be bidded on highly enough to force our hand but im sure there is a value where he would be sold if someone were to bid it.

i.e. if someone put a 30m bid in for him do you think Levy would say 'sorry he is the heart and soul of our team'?

The next time I see the word 'untouchable' with regards to anything but a movie starring Sean Connery and Kevin Costner I'm going to have a nosebleed.

True. I just think they are worth more to us than anyone would pay. For instance King- who would pay more than say £5M for him at the moment with his recent injury situation? Anyone? What do we value him at? £20M? no-one would go near that.

But yes, EVERYONE has their price, I see your point.

great comment, take long to think about that?

If you know anything (and there are many who would say you don't) then you would know about his influence off the pitch and what a massive part he plays in the squad being a "team". But then you wouldn't know that, since you are ignorant.

Made up story by YTS trainee who has seen Spurs on the telly, hence the omission of Bale and the lack of knowledge of Ramos' tactical need for utility players like Zoko and O'Hara.

But everyone has a price unfortunately. And by that I mean Berba of course. Chel$ki lose stroppy Drogba this summer, they may drive around to WHL a gold-plated security truck filled with gold. Perhaps with J.Cole tied to the front of it.

'Everybody has a price, Everybody's gonna pay,
Because the Million Dollar Man, always gets his way.'

Like so much spurs speculation, I'll believe it when I see it. If Ramos doesnt rate someone, then who am I to argue.
