I mean, this is literally true anyway: it's a qualifying tie, so if we don't win, we very clearly don't deserve to be in the competition lol.

I think there are exceptions. If for instance we get away to AC Milan in the Playoff round, that's close to a 50/50 game between both sides who we know both deserve to be in the group stage on quality.

About 2150 km. 250 km closer than Athens, for comparison. Doesn't help with the Soviet-era stadium, though.

Always worrying playing against a team you know nothing about away from home in a one-off game, but ultimately if we lose to them we don't deserve to be anywhere near European competition. Wouldn't be against taking a relatively strong team and trying to finish the game before HT.

I welcome the ballsy, confident approach from your management. It makes me want us to bury a team that I seemingly wouldn’t have cared about otherwise. Hopefully it motivates our players too as I doubt any of them are too excited about the trip to Plovdiv.
