It's definitely cultural and a bit of border control - probably a moot point having a squad with players all over the world, but as I said my opinion was more on a first glance without much thought...apart from that the SSE Airtricity League is awful ? but I agree it won't make a big difference if we can keep our miles under 4 digits.
On top of that Dundalk have started awfully this season, having lost against Shamrock Rovers 4-0 last weekend, sitting in mid-table with a 5w 2d 4l record. And this is a league which has only ever had 3 teams make it to the UEFA/EL group stage. They seem pretty awful and are probably the single worst team left in the competition.

To get to the group stage they were given a very simple draw, beating and Andorran team 1-0 and a Faroese team trying to become the first ever team from the Faroe Islands to reach the Europa League group stage. The toughest team they beat was Sheriff, on penalties from Moldova, who are infrequent UEFA/EL group stage attendees (last time was in 2017), and if I recall we have played them before, but I wish had those three games!

Matchday 6 is before we go to Anfield. We can have it wrapped up end of November.

If there’s a team from the back of beyond with a random name that we can’t pronounce...that’s where we’re headed.

Also - Royal Antwerp - that’s a bit of a throwback name - they were quite good back in the 90s weren’t they?

As we can not travel and have fun at the games anyway basically my only wish is to avoid Qarabag.

Why do I worry more about teams in pot 3 than 2...

Not fussed who we get in pot 2 but a few in pot 3 I'd want to keep clear of.

Hope we get Rangers and absolutely smash them. Snide, bitter, racist little club with a little **** in charge of them.

Ugh all the puff pieces and awards can just piss off. Give us the draw.

I have no idea why UEFA do this.

If anyone wants to watch the draw online, here's a link (can't guarantee it'll work in your country / ocean vessel / orbiting weapons platform):

Draw not on tv?

Try the post 2 above, rez posted a link to it (may or may not work for all, but working for me)

At least won’t have the issue of having to book up 3 flights and 3 hotels as soon as we know who we play and when
