Agree, need Kane holding the ball up further up the pitch and making those runs off the last defender.
He is really the only genuine playmaker we have so I understand why Poch is hesitate to drop him.
Problem is, especially with Winks out, we have no one to link it all together. When Winks is healthy, you can possibly donit althought it’d be a huge risk. When he’s out, you cant do it whatsoever.
Just keep our best striker, and one of the best strikers in the world, in the box where he can do what he does best, IMO.
I don't think he as an individual is undroppable. But when picking the team, you also have to look at the overall picture, the whole unit of 11 players put together. The unit might suffer more from replacing Eriksen, even if Eriksen is not playing at his best. Don't upset a balance just because you can.
It is not that simple. I fundamentally disagree with you that three CBs don't work, but more than that, Dier is back on the pitch. You don't start Dier AND 3 CBs. You start Dier and 2 CBs, or 3 CBs.
