So this is a sleeve sponsor?

Does that mean all the players have to get "Visit South Africa" tattooed on their entire arm?

*Visit SA for those of a shorter arm...

A Nation's government wants to sponsor the sleeves of a football club, and spend a third of their annual budget doing it.

I thought I had a ton of questions but... I honestly don't think I want to know.

I'd laugh but it's pretty sad really. Third of the annual budget going to what amounts to a footballing laughing stock currently.

atleast @-Afri-Coy- is doing his bit i suppose. :cautious:

SA Annual budget is nearly 2 trillion rand. If they were to invest a third of their budget they'd give us about 30 billion pounds.
I'd feel a bit guilty, but I'd take that.

Strike that - it's a third of their tourism board marketing budget. So it would only be wasted otherwise :sneaky:

The cynical side of me thinks this has actually all been agreed weeks ago but we didn’t want anything coming out about it until after the transfer window closed.

Seems very small for naming rights. The Cinch partnership has just passed 3 years and there could possibly be a break clause in it.

Arsenal's initial terms with Rwanda were 3 years at £30m.

You can have mine. I’ve left. The rampant corruption was one thing, but giving my tax money to Daniel Levy was a bridge too far.

Im packing my shit as we speak, I can handle all the BS but I won’t let Levy sit on my tax money whilst it could be perfectly wasted in another’s pocket.

Could probably do with the thread title being amended to be clear this is not stadium naming rights related. ?

That's another big artist to be fair. Wizkid is going to be incredibly popular, he has a massive following over here. Beyonce obviously a huge name too. They're doing well for music events. Just need more focus on the most important thing and that's the football team playing there. So much money coming in it seems yet we only loaned 2 players in Jan.
