Two weeks ago the company I work for provided me a ticket for the game last night. I booked a ferry as flights were silly. I could not believe it! Left at 3am and after a visit to our HQ in Amsterdam, I drove to the stadium.
Within a few minutes of sitting down, I realised I was amongst a lot of Ajax fans... but more importantly I could not believe my eyes! Sat behind me two very important Spurs fans....
A few minutes later... a chap sits by my side in a nice suit with his Wife. I did a double take and would you believe it... (by the way Clive is massively passionate and it was amazing to experience this game next to him)
At half time... I was distraught but I still believed. I walked over towards the commentary area and I noticed JJ. The steward kindly let me pass and I managed to have a chat with Jenas. What do we do here Jermaine? His response “something needs to change we’ve got to do this”
The second half I could not keep my emotions in, I was drenched in beer from Ajax fans who had thrown them at me when I celebrated. I was not alone though as I had a fair few Spurs fans around me and in front of me.
This game for me was made when I met all these Spurs giants... but it was made even bigger by the most fantastic players we have had certainly in my lifetime!
Anyway here was my view of the final goal celebration and this is a game I will never forget (sorry videos are too large to post). I am so grateful to be alive and to see/feel this moment. COME ON YOU SPURS
