I can't see any footballing reasons for him staying put at Fulham. Oh well, it's his career!

At his age, I can see plenty of reasons to stay put.
Why potentially jeopardise your career by putting money first, and run the risk of being 3rd choice at a PL side?

Playing in a competitive but less pressurised environment can be good for a young player's development.

I'd have thought a loan back deal could have been brokered. We've recently missed out on Moussa Dembele and Oliver Burke, allegedly because we wouldn't sanction loan backs. In both cases they signed permanent deals at other clubs soon after. It's a bit confusing.

Good for him really, bit of loyalty, level headedness, not chasing fame and fortune too quickly.
Was never gonna get many games outside of league and fa cup

I thought signing for Spurs with a year back at Fulham on loan would have worked for all. Although clearly, if we were indeed in for him, we didn't offer an enticing enough offer to Fulham and/or RS.
Agree big shame to miss out on him at this point. Likely to cost x2/x3 in 18months time.

TBF this does not mean this is the end of the road. As someone said in the thread, all this means is Spurs just have to pay an actual transfer fee rather than a tribunal to Fulham now

There do not seem to be any quotes or official statements in this article so is it 100% true? Anyway I think it is actually the best thing for him, he is only 17. He can wait for a couple more years then choose his move. Obviously a sensible lad.

As much as I'd have loved to have signed Sess it was probably the right thing for him to do signing contract with Fulham. Cream gets to the top at the end of the day. Danny Rose is an example of that.

We're not into loaning young players, poch has made it clear he prefers to work with them on the training pitch.

If redknapp was still in charge, I would imagine we would look to buy & loan back.

The boy is so young, the best thing for him is another season at least with Fulham playing regularly.

I agree.

Shame as likely his price will sky rocket now.

Will playing every match in the championship be better than , at best, being a bench player at a bigger club? Possibly, who knows. I just like to see young lads put playing time before 'big Bucks'. It implies to me he is footballer at heart and not a money grabbing mercenary. Whoever eventually gets him will at least get someone who they can rely on to be loyal to the club - a rarity in the modern game.
