International break soon. Looking forward to the ‘Scott Munn is about to hire a new DoF’ line of BS from the media again!

I’m sure this has been the aspiration for a lot of us; be the Ajax of England with a conveyor belt of talent coming through every season to either integrate into the first team or sell for profit. Have fun watching the football and have regular upturn cycles where the squad just fits perfectly and can compete for and win major honours.

We’re not going to be a Real Madrid type anytime soon, with perpetual domination, but we could have had this thing in place ages ago if we properly saw the approach through around about the late 2000s/ early 2010s.
We cant do that now, post Brexit rules mean we can't buy players under 18 from outside the UK (before, we could buy from within the EU).
We are limited to 3 non UK players per window 18-21
So we are severely hampered when it comes to youth, pretty much only the UK to recruit and the competition is fierce as all clubs in England face the same problem

I guess that's why we signed Vuskovic from 2025 when he turns 18. There's always a way. I wonder if that goes into this windows allocation or applied to 2025 when he actually joins. I guess the latter.

Apparently Ornstein's said he's heard the DOF appointment is being planned and that will be "low key" or in a similar vein to Postecoglu. IE Not a huge name.

Sounds fine. We don't need a big name - we just need someone who can work with the rest of the club hierarchy.

Lazy conclusion granted but in light of this then it really wouldn't surprise me if we then looked to secure a sporting/technical director who either has worked directly with Scott Munn or has affiliations within the CFG which leads me to;
- Michael Petrillo (Melbourne)
- Quique Carcel (Girona)

Petrillo who's worked with Munn and interestingly with Australian/Italian heritage (again, tenuous link to potential link up with Paratici?)
Carcel who's currently with a Girona side who's absolutely flying in La Liga (currently top!)

Fabio Paratici but under a new name and wearing a wig is happening. To really put them off the scent he’ll have AirPods.

As long as we continue the work done in the last couple of years it could be Ray Parlour for all I care.

Can't we just keep Paratici as the guy finding the players and the club deals with contact and contracts? The man has been a genius signings wise for us.

I don't care about the name, as long as they fit in with the new direction the club is going and do a good job.

I've not seen that said before?

My understanding was that he's quite ambitious and when he saw he wasn't getting the job here saw his options were minimal so left?
I believe some of our ITKs have indicated he was "confrontational" ?

Yeah, I read he was somewhat abrasive, I guess for me, it'd need to be a bit more than that to count as "not a team player".

More of a communication style and not suffering fools gladly, as opposed to being in it for himself or not pulling int he right direction.
