We are delighted to announce the appointment of Scott Munn as Chief Football Officer. Scott will be joining the Club’s Board and will take charge of all footballing departments.

Daniel Levy, Chairman: “Scott has a unique and broad experience of running sporting organisations at the highest level and will take responsibility for the leadership and management of our football activities to instil best practice both on and off the pitch.”

Is this a new (additional) role within the club hierarchy or has he filled a vacancy that I was unaware of?

I think in all seriousness information is limited but it does seem Levy has done what was asked and he's supposedly handing over the entire responsibility of the club's football responsibilities over to this man.

"will take responsibility for the leadership and management of our football activities to instil best practice both on and off the pitch."

Leadership I think is the key word there, that would indicate he is in sole charge of this area of the club, now my question would be how different is this to Paratici, is this a workaround or what. It'd be great if they elaborated in their communication but judging solely on the information given to us, the statement suggests this person has been handed the keys and is the top point of our footballing hierarchy. If that isn't the case then leadership is a word used incorrectly.

In its report, the Evening Standard explains that "If Paratici returns, he is expected to report to the newly-hired Munn, who is taking on his first job in Europe". I guess we must all hope that this another, and, hopefully, a more successful attempt by Levy to distance himself from the footballing side of the business.

It sounds like Paratici, should he remain, will report to Munn. So, I take this as a good sign that Munn will be running the football operations - and not Levy directly.

This guy looks an aussie MP (?) who likes his sport and had this review of him. Sounds quite promising tbh. City group is full of very good people too tbh.

As Paratici left the building and walked across the car park at the end of his last day, Daniel shouted 'Fabio! Fabio! There must be someone in your book who can help us!!'

At a pace, and in a rush to get out the club gate, Paratici randomly opened his little black book and shouted the name on the first page he came to.

Daniel grabbed a piece of paper and wrote down what he thought he heard Fabio shout over the noise of the High Road

' POSTE(inaudible) AT CEL(inaudible) NEVER MET HIM! MAY BE A SCOTSMAN!'

Looking at his note, Levy thinks.....

'...what was that name....that last person I bumped into in Chick King mentioned a name......post?.....can't be that....I've just answered all the fan mail.......sell?.......nope, no chance of that........er, who was it?....aha! Donnnnnnna! Get Scott Munn on the phone right away!

Sounds like a positive appointment. The club badly needs strong, effective leadership on the football side.

This seems to have caught everyone off guard. We’ve not had a sniff of this happening from the likes of Gold or Dan KP.

Seem to remember there being plenty of noise about Paratici before we appointed him, so we must have closed off a few leaks.
