its hard to believe wages hadnt been worked out last summer. unless we pulled out this doesnt look good on Barkley.

They looking to get Carroll on lendzies from West Ham lol
Makes sense... Highest paid player to be a rotation/bench man!?! Poch doesn't want to upset the apple cart.Deals often collapse, but during a same window, and without making a player sacrifice things like we did. It speaks volumes about how we deal with transfers. No wonder every fucking chairman hates us. I'm sure Kenwright is ectstatic with us, given that we made them lose 20m and 6 extra months of wages and treatment
Latest ITK says Levy was willing to pay his wage demands, demands above Kane. Poch said no.
Wages probably had been worked out - then he tore his hamstring and everything has to start again.its hard to believe wages hadnt been worked out last summer. unless we pulled out this doesnt look good on Barkley.
A bit late to the party here but I personally think its ridiculous that we didn't sign Barkley. He clearly wanted to come, is young, talented and cost peanuts. I know the injury thing can go one way or the other but lets face it, if he comes back and is the player everyone thinks he can be he is worth a fortune in this crazy market.
Time will tell but I think we dropped a proper clanger.
We don't know that for sure.He wanted a higher wage than Kane. I don't see how it's peanuts over a 5 year contract.

No we don't, but then we all believe what we want to when it comes to ITK don't we.

Yeah, some of us believe every bit of ITK that is uttered even if they say different things
Fucking hell what is it with you? For the final time I said:
"ITK says it's injury related yes"
I didn't say
"ITK says it's only injury related"
How are you not grasping this? I never said it was purely down to his injury.
Unless his injury is career threatening, there was no downside in buying him.
If it didn't work out, we could've still sold him to WBA/Stoke/Sunderland for a profit
ITK also said last window that talk about RB wanting more that Kane was not true.Latest ITK says Levy was willing to pay his wage demands, demands above Kane. Poch said no.
The guy refused to be pushed out of Everton when Koeman told him he would be sold if he didn't sign a new contract. The guy refused to sign for Chelsea in the summer because he didn't think it was the right move (at the time). What makes you think he would be willing to be pushed out of Tottenham to move to Stoke, West Brom or Sunderland?
