Yip, as long as its not embaressing the status quo must remain.

Hence why the FA want to change their rules to allow the current chairman to keep on beyond his 70th birthday

I think Uriah Rennie was the first ref to flag up what happens when Ferguson complains about you. he sent off Saint Gary of Neville at WHL and found himself demoted to the championship I think.

Chris Foy isn't refereeing in the Premier League next weekend. Howard Webb is taking charge of Newcastle v Man Utd.

Chris Foy is now refereeing in League 2 this weekend after Fergie's criticism. No wonder ref's are afraid to make decisions not in their favour. Looks so dodgy.

I heard mike Riley talking about this subject a while back....I think it was when that really young ref who ,someone correct me if im wrong, gave that goal at Watford where the ball never got anywhere the goal, the ref in question ended up doing a championship game the next week....anyway Riley was adamant that the schedules are done in advance, and he was always going to be reffing a championship game....
It sounded like bollox at the time, and that was only one league below...surely premier league refs don't do league 2 ?

Apparently Chris Foy hasn't officiated that low down for 6 years, bit of a coincidence for him to be scheduled for a league 2 game straight after upsetting Sir Alex.

Accrington Stanley??....who are they ?..........sorry lads, couldnt resist
Apparently.....this morning, someone matching the description of Chris Foy has been spotted at Fergies house,up a ladder, clearing dead leaves out of the guttering....and Fergies asked the FA if he can use him tomorrow at his stables,as the young lad who normally cleans up the horse shit has gone sick ;)
Joking aside...it doesnt surprise me...knowing the influence the old shit has over the FA

I feel sorry for the Ref in the Cluj-Man U game, Cluj have just taken the lead. This ref will be officiating the Tuvalu national team next week, even if they dont have one.

I bet it's used as a poster at the refs academy in Salford, which just happens to be round the corner from Old Trafford

When Foy beat us at Stokes ground last year, wasn't he rewarded with a big cup game a week or so later?

Funny how Martinez has been fined for comments about a ref after wigans game against Utd, when Welbeck dived for a penalty and Scholes should have been sent off.

Wonder how much Fergies disgraceful injury time comment will cost him?

He refereed Fulham v Bolton in the Premier League the weekend after the Stoke shambles. Mike Jones, who gave Newcastle a dodgy penalty at Old Trafford two weeks earlier also didn't referee in the Premier League the following weekend. In fact he didn't referee at all. The linesman who initially gave it was running the line in Leeds v Millwall.

Wonder how much Fergies disgraceful injury time comment will cost him?

Nothing.
