Does anybody know how we compare to Swansea?

As far as i know they only have Caulker who is 6'3? Williams 6'0 and Danny Graham. Even Vorm is only 6'0.

You know what concerned me was that in his eyes nobody seems to care if he is at the club next season including him?!? What a ridiculous remark. I think it's time levy had a word, I manage a team of about 35 staff and if they knew I was leaving then there would be less effort as they work for me. We have a good relationship and and stable foundation. And even if I found my dream job I would be upset about leaving a job where I had a great team and good team morale around me?!

I think Harry is starting to feel the pressure whether he wants to admit it to himself is another thing?

As for the set pieces a terrible excuse. We clearly don't practise enough, now it has been brought to the attention of the media he may more which is good as it effects his England chances. If they are trying to see how he will cope under media pressure which is what is happening he is failing miserably at the moment!!!

If Redknapp was worried about height against Stoke why not play Sandro?

Plus height is such a cop out. Look at Hernandez and Cahill. They are one of the best in the league at headers and they are not 6ft plus

The tallest team we could play would probably have an average height of 6ft 1 or 2 but we would still struggle scoring set pieces

Friedel
Kaboul Dawson King Bale
Sandro Huddlestone Livermore
Kranjcar
Adebayor Saha

Kaboul, Dawson, King, Nelson, Bale, Adebayor, Krancjar, Huddlestone,

Yes, we've played close to this team at various times, minus Daws and Hudd, and it's made no difference. The issue is not size. There is a more fundamental problem here. Harry talks about Samba being a huge threat from corners (I reckon that's the only reason we ever expressed much interest in him tbh) but would he score the same amount of goals in a Spurs shirt? I honestly doubt that he'd get close. Blackburn are drilled on corners, we are not. We could have a team of giants and we still wouldn't score from many.

I hate the way that Harry talks about the problem as if it's something that only pops up against teams like Stoke as well. I'm so sick of him trying to pass the buck on these things. Take some responsibility ffs.

I thought when Redknapp moves on in the summer, many would have a heavy heart. At this rate, few will be bothered at all. He looks and sounds like a dinosaur more and more with each passing week. Insisting we have played well when we really haven't. Highlighting our disappointing corners against Stoke, but neglecting to mention the other 28 matches this season. Then trying to pass it off as a 'height issue' - surely he must see our delivery is the biggest problem, and from players we should be able to rely on in dead ball situations. Another piece of Redknapp rubbish.

hasn't he pretty much said exactly what everyone on this thread is saying?

Not at all, he blames it on the fact that we dont have really, really, realllllllly tall players and seemingly because this isnt the case we cant really complain about being rubbish at them and cant 'compete'. I think thats rubbish. For a start thats never stopped the likes of T.Cahill, Gary Speed (RIP), Rooney against us the other week and many more being a threat in the air. Get a good delivery, have a plan where you and others are running and get ahead of your marker and you can score no matter what height you are.

By my reckoning Walker, Kaboul, Dawson, Nelsen, Gallas, King, BAE, Sandro, Livermore, Huddlestone, Bale, Kranjcar, Saha and Adebayor should all be capable of getting there head on the ball. I know we cant line up with all of these but surely during a match we will have enough of these options on the field to cause a threat. Even Rafa has shown he can head a ball and should be a threat (he is the same height as Rooney), if not taking corners.

Harry then says that the corners were poor the other night, as if its a one off and there isnt really a problem. I'd like to know what he has been watching for the rest of the season because they have been embarassing for a long time now.

Did we score from that many corners when we had Crouch in the team?

As they say size does not matter, ask the likes of Tim Cahill, Chicarito etc, they seem to be able to score from corners.

If he does move on in the summer, I'd be keen to bet that there will be a rapid revision of history in terms of Redknapp's managerial tenure at Spurs from the same people currently running him down. It's quite simple really, (much like many of his detractors), Redknapp is over achieving this season as he has done in every season he has been at the club.

I am not blinded to his faults, although I dare say some will believe otherwise, but to get the sort of stick he gets from some supposed fans is frankly bemusing. Some of his more stupid comments are genuinely worthy of the grief he gets, especially his attitude to fans. The performance of the team overall is not though.

If all else remains equal and Redknapp moves on in the summer the new manager, whoever he may be, will not perform any better than Redknapp.

How about a bit of fucking support every now and then?

He also mentions that certain players always seem to get their head on the ball, that it's an area we can improve and that perhaps we should look to play more short corners.

I'm guessing but I imagine he said the corners were poor the other night because he was specifically asked about the Stoke game. Like I said, I'm guessing. Not all of us get to the press conferences. What were the sandwiches like and does the tip over the road kick up a stink on a Friday afternoon?

If we don't have tall enough players for corners then you should work on routines to get the ball quickly and short ala Barcelona.

The solution isn't to find giants.

Well its nice of him to notice at last. Its been mentioned on here for months that our setpieces are dire but every game we still see the same shit delivery, and if it does beat the first man we have no movement or threat.

It almost seems to me like to Harry hasnt really paid attention to it, then when the media have finally noticed how bad we are at setplays and put the question to him Harry has had a think about it for a few seconds and gone 'Yeah you got a point actually' and given an ill thought out answer about the fault being that we dont have enough giants in the team and given a few other suggestions. When if we did a bit of coaching on this then we could improve no-end on what we see now.

It would be nice if we were proactive rather than reactive, a few more points in the bag due to good setplays and our season would be looking even better.

So what if we only have small players, you still need to beat the first man. Kaboul could be standing on Bales shoulders and it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference if the ball isn't there to head.

Honestly, how difficult can it be to beat the first man from a dead ball. Every corner Wednesday night seemed to be cleared by the dood on the near post. So in effect we had no plan b apart from asking someone else to take it. Why not take it short or worse still whack it as hard as you can and have someone on the far side of the box.

The way Walker attacked the ball for his goal against Bolton is what we need, he should always be in there for them, his pace and power will fuck defences up.
