Ronaldo and Benzama wont be playing in the Audi Cup due to injuries. A shame that Walker/Trippier wont be getting the opportunity to dominate the former.

I'm going for 6-0 Madrid. Too optimistic?
I said 5 earlier.

I really don't think getting twatted just before playing united will do us any favours.

So much of winning us based on confidence and self belief.
I'm not suggesting playing Dagenham and Redbridge. But there's lesser teams then RM we could test ourselves against.

Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo are not flying to Munich for the Audi Cup due to some physical problems.

I agree, there is no positive footballing reason to be playing in this thing. We are so many levels below these teams its crazy.

I think you guys are being too pessimistic

I think it'll be closer than you think - 5-0? Come off it

It was 4-0 when we had Ledley King, William Gallas, Luka Modric, Gareth Bale and Rafael Van Der Vaart in the starting 11.

They've now got two of them in their line up.

Yeah, in the Quarter Final of the CL when we had a man sent off after 15 minutes. More generally, that's how football works is it?

Don't get me wrong, it'll be a tricky game but it won't be either of our first teams, and it's a friendly. I doubt we'll get panned, that's all

Probably been said a few times in here but crazy decision to play these games three days before the season opener.

Likely to be a lot of changes during game and more of an intense training match against real quality opposition? I'd assume they would be playing training games full on this week to work on shape and positioning so maybe a good thing against quality players?

As with anything I suppose you can argue the positives. I see it more as an unnecessary European away day that will stretch our already threadbare squad to the limit. Also if the intention of these type of friendlies is to increase our profile, then I don't really see the point in playing the kids, dragging the first team squad to Germany, and getting turned over by a few goals.

I'd be all for these games if they were last week, allowing us to have a decent crack at it.

What is wrong in playing 45-60 minutes against top opposition as opposed to playing against their team mates on the training ground.
Do you not think MP will want them playing up to full level against each other at Hotspur Way?

A good opportunity to test themselves against top european competition albeit friendly games.
Yes players can get injured but they can do the same in a 5 a-side on the training pitch.

This. The players will play 60 minutes at most, they'd train longer than that on a normal Tuesday or Thursday.

Fully agree and the young guys get an insight what it could be to play in Champions League against the best in the world. Surely the players are totally up for it.

Inter aren't in the cup, AC are. Same applies to them though.
AC Milan are historically the most prestigious club in Italy, that's a fact. It goes without saying that they aren't as good right now, but they are still a legacy club which is sort of the point of this thing. I don't think I'm being negative in saying that we're sort of the odd one out in this tournament.
