Me calling Serge Aurier silly is me being kind :(

Lloris's brain fart was always an accident waiting to happen, but I glad it happened in a game we won. Hopefully he will learn from this (unlike Serge Aurier) and cut out this pissing about. Saying that he did keep us in the game.

Sissoko showed he deserved another contract as he stepped up and filled in the right back spot with distinction, take note Serge Aurier.

Eriksen still not at his best but was much better than recent games, however he would have been forgiven if he had a bad game as Serge Aurier caused the whole team to be pressured unnecessarily

The good thing that came out of Serge Aurier's dismissal is that it shows the we do have a strong resolve and can defend as a team with a man down. Good rear guard action

Very hard to chose a MOTM but it is definitely not Serge Aurier, so I will be undecided for now

I really have no idea. Thought the team as a whole played pretty well considering the circumstances. I'd give it to Toby I guess.

When Aurier gets himself sent off so Sissoko has somewhere he can play competently and we don't have to see the diamond

Lloris - 7 - averaged out from 4.5 for the 1st half and 9.5 for the 2nd
Aurier - 5 - Stupid. It's what he does. 1 game amazing, next game average next game a brain fart. And repeat. Sissoko coudl be a better long term solution on the right.
Toby - 7.5 - Solid.
Verts - 7.5 - Ditto
Rose - 7.5 - Plays better when angry.
Winks - 8 - Really good game.
Sissoko - 8 - Probably MOM 2nd half playing out of position. Held the right side together after Aurier departed. One comical moment when he didn't realise Lamela was about 10 yards offside having failed ot pass much, much earlier. I'll forgive him that for the great work he did defensively today.
Ndombele - 7.5 - Flashes of what we hope for in terms of beating a tight press - some real genius moves, but still looks unfit. Nice goal, but became increasingly careless as he tired after half time.
Eriksen - 6 - Good when we had eleven men, but seemed to go through the motions last hour. Very careless in possession at times. Very surprised he was not sacrificed at half time. I'd love to see what he would do if the opponent just stood with the ball when Eriksen jogs over to them. Very little danger of him making a tackle.
Son - 7.5 - Worked very hard when we were down to ten men. Looked sharp before that in his forward role too. Surprised it was him and not Eriksen who was pulled off. Maybe being saved for mid-week.
Kane - 8.5 - Great hold up play. Scored a good goal. Put his body on the line for the team.

Lamela - 8 - Made a big difference when he came on.
Dier - 7.5 - Provided much needed leadership and positional awareness in CM defensively. Took us further up the pitch as a unit when we cleared out lines, making it easier to keep the ball.
Wanyama - X - Not on long enough to mark.

Poch - 7 - The team dug in for him. Waited too long IMO before making a change (and we were under serious pressure for the 20 mins after half time before he did). I would have preferred to see Lamela come on for Eriksen too.

I went with Mousa, but on reflection it could have been him or Winks
Both put themselves about and were instrumental in us getting this result!
And what a feckin good 3 points it is!

I'd just like to thank Blake Edwards for the script for today's match.

It all starts with a flawed diamond.
There's a devastating shot.
A man with a French accent does some stupid things.
The flawed diamond goes missing.
Another man with a French accent does a stupid thing.
There's a great attack scene with an oriental guy
And all the while the French guy's boss is going slightly insane as he sees the farce unfold.
Ultimately, though, it all ends well and there's a party. Yay.

As for Man of the Match, well, as in the original Pink Panther, let's have the smoothie English hero win out...

MOTM: Winks.

When will he learn? He wont. Did the same thing in the biggest game in world football (FIFA WC Final) and also faffed about when France played Sweden.

Just boot the fucking ball, mate.

Lloris- horrible mistake first half, great saves second half.

Aurier- his own worst enemy.

Alderweireld- manful under pressure.

Vertonghen- manful under pressure.

Rose- committee, determined and effective.

Winks- great discipline, fight and took responsibility.

Sissoko- full of drive, focus and leadership.

Ndombele- skilful, far more involved, nice goal.

Eriksen- nice goal involvement, good off the ball, mixed results from his passing.

Son- awful start, looked clumsy, then became a livewire, good on both goals.

Kane- lovely goal, some great passing, crossing, dribbling and hold up play. Berbatov in the 4-1 v Bolton.

Lamela and Dier both positively impacted. Good in game management from Pochettino in tough circumstances.

I was expecting a disaster today after 30+ minutes so well done to the boys for pulling together and putting a real shift in. This I hope could prove to be the turning point of our season.
MOTM - Winks. Playing with so much energy and intelligence these days. Got a long way to go to really play up to his billing as the English Iniesta but he is developing all the time
Special mentions to Kane - all round play today was characteristic of what he is and that is a world class centre forward.
Son- worked tirelessly and set up both goals I think.
And the 4 boys at the back Rose TA JV and Moussa - really put themselves on the line and refused to let in an equaliser.
