Lloris cant blame him for anything

Sanchez seems to get done alot from diagonal crosses, the amount of times there ends up a free man in the box when hes playing is shocking.

Toby is too ponderous on the ball, he takes 5 or 6 touches before he releases it. It's just not necessary.

Rose cant seem to beat a man anymore, I think age is creeping in with him.

KWP just not sure the kid has got what it takes at this level. He takes risks in in his own half but none in the opponent's.

Winks the crab.

Sissoko not great again today, the combo of him and Winks is mid table fodder imho.

Lamela he tries.

Lucas ineffective when theres no space in front of him.

Son tried but first game back, it would be harsh to judge today.

Kane not great and that missed chance the box was very poor.

Poch sort your head out lad.

No one was good. Similar type of performance to Villa, City and most of the games at the back end of last year.

No knee jerk, but we’ve been lacking spark, excitement, energy and unpredictability for a 10+ league games now. Something urgently needs fixing.

Personally I feel quite sorry for Sanchez.

He’s being forced to play on the left side of defence when he’s naturally a right sided centre back. He’s bang in the middle of this Jan and Poch bust up and people will find excuses to bash him.

That’s not to say he hasn’t been poor, because he has. But I don’t think he’s being given the tools or capacity to succeed on the pitch.
There was one poster on here who claimed the reason Sanchez hasn't hit his potential because he wasn't playing on the left like he does for Colombia. At the end of the day he just bang average and wouldn't stand out in a mid table premiership team

When Dier is being suggested to improve creativity you know we are in trouble

I'm just waiting on a callup to the squad myself, I can definitely offer more than Dier. I'm 46yo, out of shape, sick and not played since I came out of retirement to help a buddy who was managing the reserve team at Brantwood FC back in 2007 ???❤️

Lloris - 7
Made a very good save the first time they broke our defensive line.

KWP - 5
I thought he was pretty energetic at least in getting forward today, but yet again, poor defensively. Bullied on the ball, lost possession too many times.

Rose - 5
Not his best. Similar to the Villa game, too slow to get round on the cover for the goal. Couldn't beat his man once, that I remember, going forward.

Toby - 8
Thought he was the rare bright light in a poor performance. Tried to save Sanchez on aforementioned 1st toon attack, and not to blame for goal. Excellent on the ball with his long passing being our most creative outlet.

Sanchez - 4
Awful today. In no man's land for their 1st attack, miles off his man for the goal, fortunate to get away with the tussle when he was last man near the end. A day to forget.

Sissoko - 7
Good game. He drove us on for 1st half hour until their goal (something Winks should have been doing instead!). Also caused problems for them when switched to RB.

Winks - 6
I don't actually think he was that bad today, just not needed, as mentioned previously. His passing was fine, not exceptional. Sissoko was doing a better job of what Winks should have been doing, meaning it was a waste of a place on the team. As I said, Dier could easily play the type of safe passing game Winks is giving us currently, but with the added protection against teams hitting us on the break. He needs to buck his ideas up fast and play a more probing game, which he is well capable of doing.

Lucas - 7
He tried all game and missed our best chance. The problem is (and I know many of you disagree), these are the types of games he is better as an impact sub. Poch has completely messed his selection up more than any other player. Park the bus teams give Lucas no space to run in behind which makes it infuriating that he didn't start against City where his pace would have been a great asset.

Son - 5
Poor. Wasteful in possession and no real threat. Lacks match fitness though so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Lamela - 6
Another one who is eager and enthusiastic to impress, but just offers too little in the form of end product. I've been waiting 6 years now for him to push on, but he's just so inconsistent.

Kane - 5
Well off it today. I said it last week that we have to try and get him in the game more because he's a special player, even without the goals. With what I've seen these first 3 games, is be tempted to stick him in the number 10 role just to get him involved and he is as good a passed as anyone at the club. Him feeding Son could give us a different option to surprise teams.

Eriksen - 7
Was bright again and played a beauty of a pass for Sissoko. Sadly not one teammate bothered to follow up in the box for the lay off. Will miss his creativity if that's his last game.

GLC - 6
Did nothing and looked a bit lost but it's his 1st game. Not a time to judge him.

Davies - Not enough minutes.

Bunch of ****s to a man today, they've embarrassed us and themselves completely unnecessarily with an indefensible performance and result.

Do you remember the chance he set up for Kane? He also had a shot. He also passed it sideways lots like Winks, so dont get how you can say he looked lost whilst Winks had a good game. Lol.

Fair point about the chance for Kane, I actually remembered it as soon as the head hit the pillow but wasn't logging on again ?

But to be fair, I don't think from my comments, you could assume that I thought Winks had a good game. I gave both a 6.

Think Lo Celso's little pass through to Kane before he got rugby tackled is going a little unnoticed.

Pretty much the only bit of quick creative play that took place today for our perspective.

He came on and positioned himself in between the lines and was largely ignored.

The one time he was given the ball on time the penalty incident happened.

The movement of the whole team is very bad. Liverpool and Man City play against packed defences too but the forward (and support) players don't stand around and watch the ball.

Combine bad movement with the default slow tempo and sluggish starts...

They need to return to the press ASAP for their own good.

Maybe the Poch's new project is to play friendly and try things during competitive matches.
We were awful yesterday.
Funny thing is, my wife sat down and supported Spurs and instead of saying shoot Son she screamed shoot Wong!
It was "Wong" indeed..
