We'd surely have to have a good go at getting him wouldn't we? Either that or see how it goes til January and then try for Ivan Toney.

Because we’d triple his wages.
So would any other reasonable sized club. If he went to a big club they would offer him more wages than we could as well.

Just cannot see us spending the sort of money it would take to get him and have doubts he would actually want to join. If we sign him il send across £50 to SC

Apparently he’s given an indication he would join. Don’t get me wrong if we agree a fee I’m sure a bigger club will gazump us but if we agree the fee he will come here.
On the fee side, he’s young and would have big resale so not sure levy wouldn’t want this deal if Kane goes

To be fair, if you’re counting Kulu and Porro then you’ve been completely fooled. Payments are amortised over many years anyway, just because we push the first payment back a year doesn’t mean it counts towards the next window. We’ve signed Maddison and a cheap alternative to our first choice keeper.
The way we do deals we have probably made payments for vicario, Porro, madison, Kulusevski, Romero, reguilon, Bissouma, richy, Spencer, royal, Gil, all in this window

You do realise the football we’re going to play this season we’ll probably score enough goals without Kane. But without decent, quick CB’s we’re going to struggle!

I want two top CB’s and I’d even take Richy upfront if it meant that happening!
Forwards win games though and there's no certainty of plenty of goals. We can't get carried away with pre season. We also don't have Europe so not sure we need 2 top centre backs. We only had 2 under Poch with the young backups of Sanchez and Foyth. Get back into Europe and get another quality CB next summer.

However, full commitments entered are also recorded in the accounts in the year they are made.

So just like at every other club, if we buy a player and agree to pay over 5 years, the full amount will appear as a commitment in the year it’s made, and will reduce as each payment gets made.

So somehow, by the magic of accounting, everyone’s right and no one’s been fooled.

I think PSG will blow us out of the water, assuming Kane goes to Bayern.

Only two clubs have two strikers among the 15 most valuable in the world according to transfermarkt, City (1st and 11th) and us.
If we swap Kane (4th) with Muani (6th), that would still be the case. Richarlison (14th).

We are not spending huge on a striker, we have Richarlison. He has always been Harry’s successor. It is Levy and Spurs we are talking about here.

if we buy a new striker it will be a player under 50 mill that can also play wide.

80m euros isn’t that far off… and it is a pacey young striker with a high ceiling who can play out wide right.

Muani can play rw and upfront.

For £80m I think it’s too much (they’re asking for €100m).

For £60m he’s worth it as he covers a few positions and gets goals and assists.

He was a winger essentially who now plays as a striker too.

£60m and using £20m towards £42m Tapsoba would make sense.

Surprised we aren’t looking at more players from the relegated sides too to boost HG numbers.

Luke Thomas (lb) and Livramento (another rb I know but if Spence isn’t rated, a swap deal?) are interesting options.

I read 80m euros they want for him?

Gift Orban, shorter but a value for money alternative with similarities.

Not the thread for it, but Kyle Walker-Peters is another that could boost HG (+club trained) quota. Southampton are willing at 15m.
Played well at left back for them, would suit the inverted full back role. Could replace 2-3 players in the squad (Spence, Reguilon, Davies).

Fabrizio Romano quotes posted by @mawspurs on the home page.

“I have heard this, I saw this in the media as well today, but I am told that this is not something concrete, Tottenham are not negotiating with Frankfurt or with his agents. I’m sure that when you’re looking internally for a striker Kolo Muani is one of the most interesting ones, so it is normal to mention his name, but in terms of concrete news, negotiations with Eintracht or with the player, no Tottenham are not working on that,”

Could very well be true, but I’m mindful that Spurs will be denying any talks with any forward players atm as it would weaken or position with Bayern.

A lot of people in this thread are worried about PSG if we go for Muani,

It’s breaking now that PSG are in talks with Dembele from Barcelona,

If this happens and Mbappe goes, surely their front 3 would be Kang-In/Asensio, Neymar, Dembele?
