Absolutely gutted - but I am also pleased that Rafa came to our club. Will miss his happy smiling face and I wish him all the good luck for the future. Will be sorely missed by me :-(

This is possibly some of the worst news.

In this window we have lost our best 3 players, King, Modric and VDV.

Its time for some people to step up big time now.

Pretty gutted on this one. I'm guessing it's as much for family reasons if some of the rumours are believed to be accurate.

Good luck Rafa, you will be sorely missed. :(

Rafa was the best footballer at the club . Absolutely top class footballer in terms of skills and attitude .

Rafa comes alive on the pitch and plays primarily for the love of the game rather than the love of money which seems to be what motivates most (inferior to Rafa) players out there .

Thanks Rafa . I will miss you .

Gutted he's leaving. I've been following him ever since he signed for Real Madrid, and couldn't believe my eyes when we signed him.

All the best at HSV Rafa. It's been a privilege watching you play for our club. Dank je wel & veel geluk.

played for the badge, played with passion, celebrated with passion. Gut wrenching.

Gutted he's gone. He's one player who could change a game, no opponent phased him. I can only assume moutinho is on the cards and levy didn't trust his hammies enough. 10m fee seems ridiculously low, hes class. Kieran richardson will be almost double that

Shame to see him go, and even though he had apparent reasons for wanting to go he never kicked up a fuss or refused to play.

Can understand the seasoning, and, I suppose*, accept it so long as we get the justification of this deal (alleged), Moutinho, but still, a big miss.

*Of course we'll all accept it, we aren't gonna stop supporting the club because a popular player has been sold - that would be crayzee.

Good luck Rafa said to see you go.
If you play against Arsenal again I'm sure you'll make us proud.

Yeah we better fucking sing Moutinho now! Cannot believe he would have sanctioned the sale otherwise

imho: Van Der Vaart joins the likes of Ginola, Klinsmann and Naybet as one of the greatest players to ever don the Lilywhites at Tottenham for a short time, but who's impact will remain forever.

Gutted to see him leave, but I think the transfer is the best for him and his family.

Thank you Rafael. Will never forget you.

Luka no like chicken badge: me no like team that runs around a bit
like headless chickens.
I'm sure that Dan and Andres know what they're doing though.
Positive, really I am.
